Well done!

so it may be best NOT to mess with CBR at this moment, correct? (for the 5D3)

It's fun playing with it on the EOS-M though...

...Such a tease!

Modules Development / Re: Full-resolution silent pictures

@blackcannonfilms -- were you able to compile and get it to work on your 5D3 yet?
#3054
right on @chmee and Happy Birthday, mister!

Be safe.

I am interested in testing this out particularly because I've shooting a lot of h.264 for my work lately (BUT I still love my RAW/MLV though) however the one thing thats holding me back is the fact that I worry about causing problems with the ML after installing this module to get this to work and suppose I don't like it and uninstall it... would that be possible by just deleting the ini.files rather than redoing the whole process after formatting the SD and vice versa.

Hope this makes sense...

I'm currently typing on my iPhone through Tapatalk so I apologize for any typos!

**feedbacks**

Exports stops at 345 mb's from 3x crop MLV files with Audio being squashed in half due to shooting 48fps (30fps in 3x crop mode) and I suspect that the Audio files are shorter than the Media File itself which may have cause this error... which is to be expected, correct?

Thanks for posting @kihlbahkt -- however I just read another thread somewhere (will find it and post it in here shortly) but it states that there may be no advantages with higher bit rate as oppose to default bitrate and this is primarily for the 5D3...

Since I'm not sure which canon model you were referring this to?

I assumed the 5D3 If I'm not mistaken.

Thanks again!

Looks like a decent card -- did you try in 24fps?

You may be able to achieve slightly faster write speeds in 1.1.3 as I've confirm this in previous tests w myself.
#3061
My fault on that guys -- I was just throwing off the numbers that I had remembered in my head and I checked throughly through google and it is in fact up to 21 mb's so yes I was, in fact, incorrect.

Good catch @walter_schulz and my apologies for the confusion @erickliu!
#3062
Interesting comparisons.

was this done in MLRV 1.3.3, 1.3.4 or 1.4.2?

Thanks for sharing @goran!
#3063
does this only occur when having ML installed in -- have you tried it w/o ML and see results?

or have you already tried that and problem still persist?

thanks for sharing @woody084!
#3064
Did you try BM'ing it in 24fps (w Global Draw off) and again in PLAYBACK mode 24fps (w Global Draw OFF)?

If not, please do so...

Results?

If still unsure about your cards' performances... read this link.

http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=12630.msg121741#msg121741

p.s. don't forget that the 5D3 SD's slot bottlenecks it at about *40 mb's (regardless how fast the SD card can be) whereas the CF slot can achieve up to about 120 mb's depending on your cards write speed. (I can push it up to 106 mb's in 3x crop mode 2.5k with KB 128gb 1066x)

**edit**
I was incorrect on this due to throwing it off top of my head and the correct info is 21 mb's!

Anyone with an iPad of any kind on iOS 7.1.2 that would be willingly to do me a favor?

As requested earlier from few posts up above...

Thx!

My deepest condolences (well it's not really dead yet) for your never ending contributions towards to this remarkable app of yours...

I just have been slammed with work during the Lakers season and Dodgers winter-meetings as well as just wrapping up the Galaxy championship run at TimeWarner Cable Sportsnet so I apologize if you felt that the certain few of us who enjoy troubleshooting with your app have been on the down low.

Again as always I'm more than happy to help on the OS X side (such as @Danne) in order to keep this app of yours alive!

Trust me I think about MLRawViewer in my head and I'm constantly praising to others about how useful your app is.

Please stay warm and enjoy your Holidays...

Be in touch and THANKS!

*EDIT*

Just got my schedule for the next few weeks and it looks like I'll have the next few days off... I'll jump on board with this app and troubleshoot it down as much as I can. Thanks again, Andrew!

There's nothing to test if there aren't any developers active...
So basically you're saying it'll be a matter of time when someone decides to step up and take part of this development work?

Wish I could help but I'm usually working 6 days a week and hardly have time to be near a computer consistently to the least.

You can also use the shutter fine tune module in the ML setting...

Works well to avoid flicker in high FPS on my 5D3.

Not sure about the 550D.

I've removed all builds from this thread.

The builds in this thread are for users to provide development related feedback.  mk11174 provided a bunch of builds almost 2 months ago for various supported cameras, and virtually no feedback was given by the userbase.

The flip side of providing these builds for users to test, is that a bunch of users who don't know any better, break things, or otherwise clog the forums with duplicate questions, and since there has not been any useful feedback provided to offset the negative effects on the forum, I should probably just close this thread.

http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=8900.msg91362#msg91362
With the utmost respect to @Audionut -- NOT SURE why you would want to close this thread if there are actually few of us that use it for testing/feedback purposes if not for real work but what if the problems do NOT occur and all is well... however I think closing the thread is somewhat understandable.

Happy to HELP but how are we supposed to report bugs then if there aren't really any?

I'm still using it on 1.1.3 and what if I decided to go up to 1.2.3... how would I implement the full_res Module?

However, I may have saved the modules somewhere on my external drive but don't remember if it was for 1.1.3, 1.2.3 or both?

:o

Guys-

I know this may be a long shot but currently DSLRcontroller only supports on iOS 7 and I have a mini iPad jail broken on 8.1.2 -- so I'm not able to purchase this app from Cydia since there's no way to downgrade from 8 back to 7 ( I know shame on me ) but...

My question now is there anyone out there whom has an iPad Jailbroken via iOS 7.0+ that have access to Cydia and I can temporarily share my account username/password in order for one of you guys to kindly do me a favor by purchasing DSLRcontroller with my account and sign out from my account back to your account...

That way In order for me to try and test out DSLRcontroller on iOS 8.1.2 with my iPad mini to confirm whether or not it work which I think it should but since it's NOT updated for iOS 8 -- I just don't have the patience to wait any longer...

Thanks for reading this!

Over 22-24 mins in 24/25fps 1080p continuously on KB 128gb 1066x has served me well over the past three months so far... Just like every other cards out there -- you play w it and once you learn its sweet spots then that's when the real fun begins!

Got mine for $120...

The KB 256gb 1066x for $300 is quite tempting and yet so dangerous!
#3075
Haven't seen this before and I hope you get it resolved somehow cuz that shot looks hella great w the lighting and slow-mo...
