Archived porting threads / Re: Canon 6D support?

First of all i think ML will work on 6D perfectly.

But 6D has serious moire and aliasing problem on video mode. And ML can not fix it. It will be good still camera. But AF points are problem. I thought video quality will similar as Mark III. But it's not. ISO and bitrate(ALL-I) better than Mark II. But that's it. Bitrate is not problem for ML users. So just ISO performance is better than Mark II.

I didn't know Magic Lantern works on Casio calculators :)

I just tried Beta 3. Basically;

- HDR Works.
- Intervalometer does not work. It stops after first shot. Just "crazy shooting" works.

Waiting for Beta 4. Thank you coutts and a1ex!

Intervalometer starts and stops manually. There is no auto stop after 200 photos or 20 minutes. I can be very useful.

Thank you.

I have an astro tracking which holds my telescope so I can shoot 5-10 min without star trails.  ;)
That's why I need extended functionality for the intervalometer which I feel it has lots of potential unexploited yet, being to simple now.

Now i realised you re not talking about time-lapse :) Sorry. (I thought time lapse with 3-5 minutes exposure without star trails)

Yes, it would be awesome feature. Theoretically it seems not to hard for developers but who knows :)

I see. But magic lantern could not help. It's just camera firmware. Not a mount controller.

Nice idea but not possible. As you know you can't use more than 30-40 second exposure without astro tracking mount. It makes star trails. So we have to use a mount for 3, 5, 10+ minutes exposure. Magic Lantern works on the camera. It doesnt control the mount.

If someone makes a application for pc and from pc, maybe it can control mount an shutter release same time with spesific commands like "take 3min x 3 bracket, stop mount for 30 sec and do it again and again".

@coutts Photos are almost 4000x3000px. So you can zoom in zoom out with changing position and scale parameters in After Effects, Premiere etc. ie D800 is 36mp. With d800 you can do huge zoom, scale and pan :)

@Schloime First of all thank you very much. And you re totally right about tilt-shift sequences. They are not perfect, but that shots have too much flicker even i use deflickering. Mostly flickers appearing in clouds and where lights come from. So i wanted to add some blur for disappering flickers. Not for creative look :)

Here is my time-lapse video from last summer. I used 550D with Magic Lantern.
