Let's restore ML help together!

I want to start a thread where we collect all the information in one place. I've mapped out the menu & submenu options of the latest nightly (30/03/14) and pretty much all of the accompanying  documentation could do with an update - Please feel free to add any information, and your post can be merged into the guide. I've also added a few other topics that deal with post production which I will edit with more information and links as I go along. I'm far from an authority on any of this though and I'm hoping that the rest of you will contribute information and correct any of my mistakes. In time all this information will be transferred to the official User Guide and you will have it on your camera, but we have to create that text first and this is one way non developers can help the community.

General Development / Streamlined builds?
« on: August 04, 2013, 02:48:58 PM »
Is it possible to and is there any value in removing features that are not used? I have my set up saved to the config file of course, but would there be any gains from completely removing what I have hidden from the builds? I'm not looking for any of the developers to do this, just if it is worth me investigating for myself.

Feature Requests / Mapping functions to the set wheel

Is this possible? I use manual lenses and having the option to map other functions to the wheel would be handy, specifically aspect ratio & ISO.

Raw Video Postprocessing / RAW post processing tests
« on: June 18, 2013, 03:11:35 PM »
Touch wood, it looks like ML RAW video is here to stay and most of us will be using the ML variety to some degree for the forseeable future. The many workflow guides are a godsend, but I searched the thread and found no real mention of it: is anyone interested in conducting some experiments into RAW workflow?

ML RAW video is still bleeding edge and there could be changes to the actual files we are transfering to our desktops, but for now we have 14 bit rough diamonds to polish up and it seems there are many ways to do this. It would be handy if we had a standard set of files that we could use to a) nail down the process for getting the best out of our footage b) establish benchmarks for the constantly updating software we use.

We agree on one set of shots covering the ranges we encounter (low light, sunny, charts...) we host them and each of us has access to the same files. We then run them through our own personal workflow and deliver in the agreed format with info about what we did.

Obviously open to all thoughts on this.
