As of today the devs were not able to reproduce the issue.
No user having had this problem was able to reproduce it.

Your suspection is ... well ... not that well placed ...
#7677
You have to enable file_man.mo in module tab first.
#7678
If you get the message after pressing INFO: Help files not included in nightly builds.
#7679
That's up to your logical conclusion.

If there isn't anything about card size found and I tell you all you have to know will be found there ...
#7680
First page of this thread contains everything you need to know about installation procedures for recent nightlies.
#7681
Haven't found solid information about it's display type. Toshiba's TruBrite specs differ widely between 65 percent sRGB coverage and almost sRGB.

Quote from: keyjonathan on July 25, 2014, 10:49:16 AMWill the bootloader stay disabled now?

Sorry?
Bootloader? Do you mean camera's bootflag?
If this is disabled ML won't load at all.
#7683
Not happening here ...
#7684
400D was the last 3-digit-D having this battery accessible.

There may (may!) be issues with different Canon firmware versions running as 1.2.3 out there. Devs mentioned it some time ago but not sure if 1.2.3 is one of those.
Because of this I recommend to run Canon firmware 1.2.3 installation from Pelican's source once again.

BTW: Write protection slider set to off?
#7686
EOScard/Macboot is not part of the most recent installation procedure for ML running on firmware 1.2.3!
#7687
Insert card into cam, format card.
Access http://pel.hu/eoscard/ and download zip file containing Canon's firmware version 1.2.3
Expand contents and copy FIR file to card (cardreader)
Run firmware upgrade from Canon's menu.
When done format card again.

Download ML nightly for 5DIII 1.2.3 and extract contents. Copy extracted contents to card (cardreader).
Insert card into cam and run Canon's firmware upgrade again. Restart cam before timeout runs off.

Results?

Please don't link outdated installation procedures and don't follow them if you don't know why and what you are doing!
We have lots of outdated tutorials and they really add up to all the mess we already have.
Stay with confirmed information found on the forums found here. Most installation threads have a start post which is maintained by some people actually knowing their stuff.

Please provide basic info ...
ML version used?`
MLV or RAW?
Resolution and frame rate?
Global draw on/off?
Card benchmark results ...

Common it is but only if done wrong. Don't remove card before camera had the chance to shutdown properly.

If shutdown is done correctly but battery is draining: Please drop a line and the bug (if any) will be put down by the devs.
Further instructions after your tests.

"Asus N750JV" is just the most basic manufacturer info. Complete spec will be "Asus N750JV-T4145H" or any suchlike letter parade.  Please provide this info.
This is the only way to tell display type/quality. And a display not worth looking on doesn't make that much sense for pp beyond stupid batch converting.

Additional SSD is highly recommended.
How much of your work will be done without external power supply? There are harsh differences in performance among different laptops. Some will toggle down processor speed because of insufficient power or insufficient heat management.

Quote from: fkloskowski on July 23, 2014, 04:20:05 AMBut the link does not lead to the instructions nor the v2.03 firmware?

Download the file, expand content, copy content to a card, insert card, run Canon's firmware update.
#7695
If ML is active and as long as you format the card in a cam with ML active: Yes.

Please keep in mind we can't read your mind and "usual" is a term prone to cause misunderstandings.

Upgrade to firmware 1.1.3 and then
Top of page -> Downloads -> Browse Nightly Builds
and you're almost there.

Download Canon's firmware version 2.0.3 + copy the file to your card + run firmware update.
#7699
2.0.5 isn't supported yet. Downgrade to 2.0.3 to run ML.

What's wrong with a Release Cable SR-N3 as described on page 42?
