If you are comfortable with opening the camera and soldering you may shorten slot's WP switch. Card with properly working WP switch is open with WP slider in "protected" position. Shorten it and cam will ignore slider position.

a1ex (former dev lead) was able to tweak cam to ignore switch position. He is no longer available and I don't know if the devs are able and willing to work on it. Knowledge has been lost and documentation is a mess ...

And yes: There is a way to make ML run on your cam. Of course not with standard procedure. USB connection can do, too.
#77
Why not both? ;-)
But it is Extreme Pro I'm most interested (and others, I suppose).

There are a few reports about SanDisk R200/W140 being unstable with access mode SDR104. Mine included.
After switching to SDR50 cards seem to be stable, though.
Can you retest in that mode?
#79
Thanks! Added to chart.

You know you can edit ML wiki and add card info?
#80
Thanks! Will try to reproduce ASAP and will esp. retest with my Samsung Pro Plus 128 GB (2021 edition)

Questions/Remarks:
Samsung Pro Plus in blue exists in 2 different varieties: 2021 and 2023 edition. You will find a couple of strings on card's backside. "MB-MD128K" or "MB-MD128S". Which one are we talking about here?

I tested EVO Plus 128 GB (2021 edition) and it failed @240 MHz and it is marked as failed in linked chart.
Just out of curiosity: Can you post a pic of card's back?

(EDIT: I know not to trust benchmarks. I have cards with stable benchmarks @280 (sic!) MHz  but unable to record. My test routine is not as sophisticated as yours but include record test as well. Needs to be refined, though!)

EDIT2: Any luck with "Sandisk Extreme Pro 95 MB/s"? It worked perfectly with older oc modules but my specimen fails with new one in 650D. And because of mechanical issues it can't be used in my M.

For all cameras with a lua_fix build available.
#82
I can only strongly recommend not to use nightly build for LUA scripting!
#83
For scripting use lua_fix or derived build.
It uses a newer script engine/API.
#84
It is not and there is no other.

Are you sure to have restarted cam after changing settings?

If overclocking mode is incompatible with card you will see numbers in the 20 MByte/s region. It is a fallback mode.
Try to lower oc frequency to 192 MHz or 160 and give it another run.
Some SanDisk require Access Mode SDR50 instead of SDR104 to run properly. You will find this setting in oc sub menu.

I cannot test my only Extreme Pro 95 MB/s because card has a plastic piece missing and EOS M denies working with it.

If your problem persists you should switch to cards proven running fine in highest oc mode. See https://wiki.magiclantern.fm/cards_240mhz
My price/performance recommendation: Samsung EVO Plus 256 GB (2021 edition). The white one.

Check device manager for unknown/deactivated devices.

Is card readable in cam?
If not: Card got corrupted. Recovery may be possible
If: Get your windows drivers for your cardreader. If unable purchase a dedicated cardreader.

EDIT: And you should be able to boot from a Linux USB stick and transfer files to a second stick or directly transfer to NTFS drive.

Links to Canon firmware 1.1.1 found in
Top of page -> Downloads -> Download Nightly Builds -> Main Builds -> 60D, 60Da -> Installation
also in "Useful Links".

It is simply no sane attempt. You are opening a desaster area.
Learn the basics of proper development in git environment.

Just copying some code is not.

I don't think you will find support for your approach here.

Tnanks for taking your time fighting BS!

Sorry to interrupt. Don't know if it is related:
Legacy ML's intervalometer disables AF. If you use ML feature "Use Autofocus" and AF fails to lock you get this one:
https://foss.heptapod.net/magic-lantern/magic-lantern/-/issues/2923

Is your intervalometer code different?

EDIT: Didn't try to find out the build corrupting AF feature. I assume it worked once upon a time.

There are several crop mood builds. Latest is 2023Aug19. If there are no unusual reasons to use the older version I recommend to update and retest.

Would you please so kind to rescale your pics according to forum rules? Thanks!

You are kind of right. But it comes with some disadvantage:
You are in "5x3" (720p) mode. Means: 3 horizontal pixels are binned. But only every 5th horizonal line is scanned. This method is called line skipping.
In standard 1080p mode Canon uses 3x3: 3 horizontal pixels are binned. (Same as 720p). But only every 3rd line is scanned.
That is why frames have to be stretched by 1.67 = 5/3.

5x3 means footage is prone to aliasing. Please compare footage and you will see why most videographers are not using this mode.

A beep from the camera with 700D? Don't think it will work. See https://builds.magiclantern.fm/features.html -> beep not supported
#97
It would actually help to tell us the build version you are using.

4) This lens hosts a micro-motor and it can be heard. Lenses with USM or STM are almost silent.

Lossless compression is lossless compression. Of course you are loosing information by using a lower bit depth.

Nothing I guess!

Have to play around a bit with 5D3 go get a better understanding how this cam behaves in high res MLV recording.

The only thing we know for now: 7D2 seems not hampered by 5D3's interface limit. Both cards work the same speed in single card benchmark and combined.

5472 x (5472:2.5) x 24 x 14 x 0.4 / 8 =  192 MByte/s

216 in benchmark - 10 percent for overhead (est.) = 194.4 MByte

Close call.
