General Help Q&A / Re: HDR video and ISO

Just use the version you actually use. You wrote "I'm using the latest nightly version" and I concluded nightly.

You need a cardreader. I recommend Kingston FCR-HS3.
All other questions are covered in FAQ, user guide and first post of this thread.

Use Canon's menu to make sure Auto-ISO is turned off. Then delete ML folder from your card an copy nightly contents to card.
Try again.

Feature Requests / Re: A ML 7d only for pictures ?
October 03, 2014, 10:50:26 AM
So why not installing a nightly build? Just don't use movie/video features.
That's what I do most of the time anyway.
#7384
You got it wrong. Title says Alpha, that's true. But development status left Alpha some time ago.
I use ML nightly build for 650D since ... um ... can't remember. That long!
EDIT: Must be one of the first nightlies. About Aug/Sep 2013.
You missed one year fun, I suppose.

May be used with remote triggers. You have to set "Start trigger     Half Shutter" or "Start trigger     Take a Pic".

You got your premise wrong:
Magic Lantern was programmed in 2009 by Trammel Hudson for the EOS 5D Mark II. Body was priced $ 2,699, € 2,499, £ 2,299 when introduced.

You may revise your post.
#7387
Wild guess (your question is not that specific):
Because you didn't load RAW/MLV video module and/or didn't activate RAW/MLV video?
#7388
Have you removed the card before turning the cam off or very soon after?

Try this:
Turn off cam, wait for about 30 seconds. Remove card.
Still problems with drained battery?

Sorry, don't understand, PressureFM!

You have to pay 350 Euro now to opt for such a perk and have to add 2300+ (may change up/down) in April, Mai or June 2015 to get a very basic body which will need additional hardware to be usable as movie came. And it's called Beta for a cause, I think. And you don't have to have 2300+.
Of course you can stay back and opt out. You donated 350 Euros then. Or try to sell your perk, then.

And I pretty much hope all participants understand "we're not there yet".

Therefore I don't understand in which way a campaign running 2 months will change things for you.

Just found something on campaign's web site:
perk "AXIOM Beta Super35, 3rd batch". 99 due June 2015.

Yes, keep 'em coming ...

EDIT: About 25 "Axiom Beta Super35" perks came in last 24 hours. That's quite remarkable, I think! Cassandra-mode dormant now.

I think if 80% of the target is met Sebastian gets to keep the money.

Just RTFM. There will be no cashflow from indiegogo to Apertus if goal is missed.

The media didn't refuse to cover the project. Crowdfunding start was covered quite well.

But ML/Apertus co-operation wasn't a topic (apart from Slashcam (ML friendly, always!), I give you that.

The donations started flowing again - I really hope we will make it!

I might be renamed to Cassandra for nick or forum title but I have to state the obvious:
This will drain out next 24-36 hours and will leave funding at least 15,000 Euros short.
Current cashcow is 350 Euro perk "Super35, 2nd batch" and 21 (= 7,350 Euro) are left right now. Will stopped (at current rate) in given time-range.
350 Euro perk "4/3" is no runner and "16 mm" option - introduced today for whatever reason - is no seller, too. And I don't expect this will change.

As of today we failed to reach "the masses" to convince them throwing in small amounts. Look up the list and count up. And here, too: I don't expect this to change. We (as in Apertus Axiom Beta funding project) are not that present in the media, we're simply not a big topic for whatever reasons.

Time for Plan B ... Fundings running in will drop soon and harsh!

Okay, basics first:
You're absolutely sure your battery is ok? You have removed battery and reinserted it? Tried different batteries? No battery grip involved?
Startup without card inserted.

If you insert a card, close compartment and turn the cam on is the LED flashing?

Sorry, if you already tried this but please try again.

Cannot come up with your numbers, canon eos m! 20.000? Not seeing this difference. And 20.000 are *exactly* 20 percent and not 30.
Sorry, but your math sucks.

My numbers: About 8 percent the last 40 hours. Good but not excellent and - as I said earlier - the most attractive perk (Super35 2nd batch) will drain before goal is reached.

As I said: Complete waste of money, therefore almost no data available. Why would anybody want to use such a high-priced card? As of today no device (apart from readers) will support UHS-II. (Not sure about a7s.)

Therefore: You're pioneer in unfamiliar area here. I have not a clue why the card seems to be such a failure with your equipment.

EDIT: Found some test data for this card. Seems to need an UHS-II reader to run well. Maximum speed using UHS-I compatible readers was limited to about 45 MByte/s. And some new cams are in fact UHS-II compatible: FujiFilm X-T1, Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH4
#7398
This card is a complete waste of money.
As of today not a single camera supports UHS-II.
If you tried the card to run in 5D3 (you haven't mentioned which cam you're using) you will be bottlenecked to about 21 MByte/s (write). There is no Canon camera (supporting ML) which will go above 41 MByte/s (write) because Canon decided to go with slow interfaces. Disclaimer: No data available for 7DII's SD card interface.

You need an UHS-II compatible cardreader and USB 3.0 (or Thunderbolt interface) if you want faster transfer speeds from/to your computer with this card.

You may want to look into the rules about this.
If the goal is missed the backers will get their money back. Period.
What the people at Apertus will do if the goal is going to be missed is their part. They may want to fill the gap or not.

Sorry, of course you're right. Forgot 5D3 1.2.3 has a very different schedule compared to the rest of the bunch. Sticks out here:
