Sorry, should keep my fingers from keyboard before breakfast!

Quote from: skrull on February 07, 2015, 07:56:14 AMThe fir file enables the bootflag in camera. Making a card bootable is another thing.

Depends. In fact the installation procedure sets the cam's bootflag *and* makes the card bootable.
To make a card bootable you may run the installation procedure once again or use EOScard/Macboot. Second option may be preferred by users running 550D, 600D or 5D3.113 because they don't have a 3-step easy install routine.

Audionut didn't request to load RAW_REC.mo or MLV_REC. But it would make no difference at all for this problem ...
And to see ML overlays in LV you have to press INFO some times.

Duplicate Questions / Re: How to process dual ISO files

Which cr2hdr version are you using?
Which settings in your cam?

You may upload an example and a processed output file. We may be able to run it, too and compare results.

Oh okay. I don't understand how come I can shoot 60 and 120fps with my GoPro and Sony compact camera RX-100II but I can't do it with a 2000$US Canon =/

I don't understand why I can drive 200+ km/h with my 6000€ bike but that 900,000€ mobile home can't. Preposterous! And don't get me started on fuel consumption. Or finding parking lots.

Maybe a proper bug report will help to address this? Just saying ...

1080p50 continuous needs about 173 MByte/s. 6D is capable doing about 41 MByte/s write speed. You see the numbers don't match at all. A few seconds and frames will get lost.

What do you mean by "didn't recognize the update option"? Snapshot, please.
Read http://addedoptimization.com/5d-mark-iii-firmware-update-using-canon-eos-utility/
#6859
So you aren't using EOS Utility at all.
Make it run. Either on your computer or on another.
#6860
Others had no problem using EOS Utility for downgrading.
Which version are you using?
Are there any error messages?

Please describe what you have done running EOS Utility. In detail, please!

I'm a filmmaker, not a beta tester.

Yes, Director McCoy.
You pressed INFO several times to toggle until ML's overlays show up?

Maybe you're a bit jumpy?
Are you recording MLV or RAW? If MLV: You may want to set this option in Movie tab -> RAW video (MLV) -> Global Draw

Your description is somekind cryptic. It does not sound like you followed update procedure as described in http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=9852.0
You need a cardreader to install ML.

DeafeyeJedi's benchmarks:

You can access playback mode by pressing PLAY button directly after benchmark started.

At time of writing ML is not ported to 1200D and there is no developer working on it.

Calm down and show patience. Current state is Alpha 2 and supporting two different firmware versions right now doesn't make that much sense.
In fact: You and all others with "the other" firmware version will benefit from those having to struggle with this alpha.

And that's the very link you get when going to Downloads -> Browse Nightly Builds -> 7D.203 -> Download

Please let's keep our opinions about content's content out of this. (I muted audio in first vid to avoid distraction)

He asked about image sharpness. I think we agree that first one is not doing a good job in this matter. Tons of aliasing if you look for it.
As sample how to do good sharpening this one sucks IMO.

Second one looks without such flaws. And I have no idea if ML was involved in this production at all.

Confirmed.

Tried with 2014Apr29, too. Dolly didn't work either but it won't crash when Digital Dolly is disabled and joystick is used.

EDIT: Last one not crashing in crop mode with Digital dolly = OFF and joystick used is Build #147 (21.06.2014 17:03:04).

Quote20.  5D3/5D2/50D/7D: refactored joystick menu navigation with GUI timers (and enabled it on 7D) (detail / bitbucket)
in #148 but IANAD
