I'm about to write a small tutorial/How-To covering benchmarking cards and detecting faked cards.

Looking for users with
- Cards faking memory size. The card tells Windows/OS X memory size bigger than actual size causing file corruption if existing storage size limited is reached.


If you run Windows and have a card faking size: Run h2testw.exe and/or F3 and post a snapshot.

Removing battery won't work?
Put card in cardreader. Backup ML directory. Delete ML directory and Autoexec.bin from card. Copy extracted nightly content to card.
(In fact: The only thing you really need to do is to replace Autoexec.bin with the one used before).

RAW/MLV will work without this setting since late January.
The only version not supporting seamless RAW/MLV recording >30 minutes is 5D3.123. Yet.

May I ask where you got it wrong?

If you don't want to have any highlight overexposed you should use 0%.
Settings >0% are for landscape (for example) where the sun is in the frame. It would not make that much sense to have the sun exposed correctly. And for highlights in architecture where sun is reflected in small areas.

Test setup for highlight ignore:
Put a white paper on a black cloth/paper and change highlight ignore percentage. At higher ignore levels ETTR will change exposure and overexpose your paper.
