Do you have no firmware update option at all or is firmware update option greyed out or is firmware update option running but gives an error message?

You won't see any problem with h2testw halfway.
Any update on this one?

After using EOScard and wipe/copy: Just startup cam with card inside and press trashcan button. ML showing up?

Download h2testw and verify card's integrity.

Is there an issue with latest EOS Utility preventing downgrading?

Not able to reproduce your error.
Workaround: Use EOScard or Macboot to make card bootable. Wipe all content (don't format!) from your card and copy latest nightly content to card.

Reset cam to factory defaults (including Fn), make sure to be in photo mode M (Liveview off) and retry.
If it doesn't help:
@nanomad: Do you have an idea what is going wrong here?

There are USB 3.0/2.0 cardreaders incompatible with Komputerbay cards, able to damage UDMA-7 cards.
There are cardreaders incompatible if outdated firmware is installed.
Get a decent USB 3.0 cardreader with UDMA-7 support (just "UDMA" won't do!) and check for firmware updates before using them with Komputerbay CF-cards.
#6233
Format card in cam, copy extracted nightly contents to card and retry.
If it doesn't work: Make a screen snapshot showing card's root directory contents.
#6234
Is there a file 1100D105.fir in card's root directory?

Added my point of view in Adobe's forum.
And there is work to be done. a1ex changened cr2hdr content: http://magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=7139.msg147170#msg147170
#6236
You downloaded a single zip file containing all ML files needed to install and run ML. I suppose you copied a single file and not - as requested - all ML files (= extracted content) to card.
#6237
It's needed to set cam's bootflag.
#6238
There is no FIR in nightly builds for 600D.
#6239
No, you have to read first page.
#6240
This tutorial is outdated. Format your card using a cardreader, insert card into cam and format again. Read first page and follow instructions there.
#6241
Rename Autoexec.bin to Autoexec_ML.bin
Rename Autoexec(1).bin to Autoexec.bin
Insert card into cam.

If you are using 70D files you have to replace cr2hdr executables with those linked here in this thread.

Present your facts, please.
I reject your example because your logic is flawed. I hope you can do better.

May I ask if your opinion is backed by facts or are you just guessing?

And legal option doesn't care about that stuff at all.

They can. If they want.
- Technically they can make devs life much much harder. With ease.
- And they can call up their lawyers. And that would be worse.

Don't mix up bullshit hearsay with reality.
The issue at hand is Canon's firmware 1.3.3 for 5D3 which will block downgrading to older versions when camera menu "Firmware update" is used. Will do with EOS Utility, though.

Thanks. No trouble importing that file into LR CC.
