is it possible to name the dual iso shots automatically (e.g. DI_99A6430.CR2 .. because in the mac finder it is not possible to see which cr files are dual isos and which are not.. ?

we have a great storm here now.. and i wanted to shoot some bolt pics..
wasn´t there a bolt module in the latest 5d mark3 nightly builts?
no..?
so i have downloaded a module which i found on the bolt thread:

but the only thing the camera do is beeping like wild.. and then suddenly freezes

is there a working one and if yes. can someone please explain how the module is used..?
is this a raw video shooting stuff or a picture shooting module?

No problem! Really good work. A lot of macdudes that are gonna be happy to be able to use dual iso. Question. Alex also provides a cr2hdr converter for converting cr2-files. Would it be hard to get that to work for mac? You seem to have the skills.

Tonight i tried to shoot a star timelaps again, and wanted to shoot with silent picture mode and intervallometer.
So is it only me or is it not really possible to adjust longer exposure times in silent picture mode.. ?
When shooting in photo mode with cr2 files i can adjust up to 32 seconds..

I wanna shoot a timelaps with my 5dmk3.
It would be ok for me to shoot in 1920x1080 silent picture mode with intervalometer;)
Now i have some question and perhaps someone can help me??

1 is it possible to turn off the live view when shooting with silent pictures to treat battery with care and shoot longer.

2 is it possible to change resolution (but i dont want to crop the picture..)

3 is it better to shoot with intervallometer or better to shoot with fps overwrite?

4 if fps overwrite is better how should i set the options for day to night timelaps..

5 how can i get a 6h shoot with the camera with 2 batteries? Is there a better power supply available? I have the 2batteries adapter..

When i import a cdng file into after effects the acr window opens. Great!
Now i can colorgrade to a flat neutral picture..
My question is: how flat and neutral this should be for applying lits..
When i import into resolve and apply the blackmagic film color space, the video looks flat and it feels like loosing some color information.. When i apply a look onto that bmcc - a 3dlut it doesnt look right..
Can anyone explain please.. How should a cdng sequence be graded in ae or resolve..
Is the video really looking the same as a bmc when the bmc film look is applied, or are there different raw bits on that bmc camera..?

yesterday i shot a timelaps sequence of photos with xml sidefiles.
when i open them in adobe raw converter i can see all the files with different adjusted exposures. great. so they seem to be flicker free
how can i now change the global exposure of the shots if they are all too dark or too bright?
when i adjust one file and sync the rest, all the exposures from the xml files are useless cause the fixed values are synced to all other files..
is it possible to sync only the differences? or how do you handle it if a sequence is too bright or too dark and you want to correct it in acr..
is this possible?

today i shot my first timelaps video sequence.. puh.
i adjusted the intervall to shoot every 5 seconds, and the slowest shutter to 0.5seconds. the picture preview time was 2 sec.
everything worked as expected, but after about 5 minutes the intervall o meter suddenly changed to Shot every 1h50min...?
perhaps it was a bug? i had to turn the power off to start from the beginning.

when shooting, the mirror is always working, like when shooting a photo..
so my question is: is it possible to shoot silent, without mirror up down?

when i shoot many timelaps sequences, and i always shoot photos, perhaps 30x90 = 2700 photos..
if it would be silent, wouldn´t that leave the photo mirror counter lower..
