Duplicate Questions / So is it over?
December 20, 2014, 04:57:31 AM
Have the original devs moved on for good? I'm tempted to stop coming on here because of all the ridiculous questions from people with post count 1 who don't know how to search. I can't imagine how those who have laboured for years on this feel.

To quote the venerable NOFX: WHERE ARE ALL THE STUPID PEOPLE FROM, AND HOW'D THEY GET TO BE SO DUMB.

Is the Axiom the new focus?

Wrong though. That's not clean. There's overlays. And pillarboxing.

You'd think that such a thing would be popularized all over the Internet. I wonder if deduction through elimination is required here.

Why not just resize on one axis?
#82
Admins ... does this limitation go away if I use ExFAT since it doesn't need to use 10 files? I had this same thing happen today during a speech.

cpc gave you the answer. What more do you want? Put on your big boy pants and do some digging around :)

Raw Video / Re: REC COMMAND via the HDMI trigger - Atomos
December 16, 2014, 01:06:13 AM
Because of the extra latitude shooting raw video, wouldn't the prores proxies recorded into the Atomos be over exposed because they don't have the same latitude to overexposure as the raw footage? In addition wouldn't the ninja Blade scopes be unreliable because they were in a different color space than raw?

Nice, welcome, and good luck!

Sorry didn't mean to hurt your feefees.

I reckon under Feature Requests :)

Thanks Audionut, got it. I've purchased an Atomos Ninja Blade anyway, I'll use it to record the QT files for RT playback of scenes I'm capturing in MLV for on-set playback like a VTR.

Hi guys! Why nobody update this thread? Any progress?

With the limited due respect for such a question: what do you think?

Also take off the lens and put on the body cap. Then run the sensor cleaning for a couple minutes. Sometimes that disables the pixel.

Enable chroma smoothing in your demuxing program or use a different one.

Exceptionally well done. Did you use a motion control rig or creative zooming in post?

Raw Video / Re: What's your method of exposing properly?
December 07, 2014, 08:52:14 PM
Use the histogram hints. Expose until it shows clipping then dial back slightly. I always expose maximally and fix the levels is post. Better to have too much and dial it down (includes dialing down noise) than dial up (ibid).

Turn off global draw for Review.

Recommend starting its own topic. I'll bump it.

This feature works well on the 7D and would definitely be a +1 if it were to be implemented in the nightly for 5D3 one of these days...

I don't know how to program unfortunately. Can someone compile the Aug07 1.2.3 most stable build and enable this for us? By un-disable will it be controlled by a submenu or still those cryptic INI files?

Thanks 1% you rock.

Hi folks,

1% it seemed was having some luck about 8 months ago making custom .INI files for the 5D Mark 3. I love shooting raw but I wonder if we can squeeze more bitrate out of the h264 containers so that those of us who shoot for hours and hours can get less compressed files. Has anyone done any work on this since the raw breakthrough? The GH4 does 100mbps+, obviously it's a different chipset, but any more quality we can squeeze from the Canon DSLRs would be awesome.

I'm no programmer but would be happy to test things out on my cam.
