for some folks here it should be better to edit the topic 
SanDisk 32 GB 160 MB/s works as fine on my 7D as Lexar 32GB 1000x, both are faster than the 7D

this is more or less the same speed as with my Kingston USB 2.0 cardreader
(despite of 512 k write, where I have 23.55 MB/s)

Is there a faster device?

I have a transcend USB 3.0 expresscard Adapter TS-PNU3,
but in my Vaiowith Win7 it only works with USB-sticks and SD Cards in Cardreaders, not with CF cards or Harddisks :-(

an old thread but a good idea,
but with current ML and TL on 7D there is no image in DSLR controller...

the central sensor always works
do not rely on viewfinder, just try to focus from near to far (or vice versa)
I tried:
  a fresh ML without own settings
  switch of AFMA
-> same behavior

Could you describe how do you reproduce the bug?

its easy:
set single focus point (e.g. to the leftmost one)
mount Lens A
focus
change to Lens B
-> focus hunts
mount Lens A or take out battery or CF
- >focus works


which Lenses do you have?

Is the information about bug occuring with 70-200/2.8 IS L II a joke, too?

no joke, and with a lot other Lenses too (Canon 50/1.4, Canon 18-135(old), Canon 10-22)
occuring today with tragiclantern-Tragic.2013Nov14.7D203 in Ai-Servo using single AF-point
and one year ago on 21.10.2012 (I guess with alpha2)

Lenschanging causes this Error, not ML , changing with camera switched off (what I never do...) does not help
when I had it the first time in 10/2012 I changed before from 70-200/2,8-IS-II to 17-55/2,8 IS
which now produces the failure again.
removing battery or reloading card helps.

using 1% build from 08/09/2013 (time to update :-), testing the new Sigma 18-35 in a local store :-)
I again had the failure that the outer AF-Points refused to work, the lens just goes for an back without finding anything,  the center point worked fine
I switched to the green rectangle -> no focus is achieved
after removing the CF card it worked

I thought it may be a Problem with the camera, because I had this failure after restarting the camera without ML.

I now have a new 7D :-), but today the error occurred again, using tragiclantern-Tragic.2013Nov14.7D203

switching off/on didnt help, after removing battery it works fine.

thx. seems that I have to find out how to compile...

I've re-implemented Av/Tv in M with your method in my auto_iso module which serves a different purpose than your autoexpo - your module is for 100% automatic exposure, mine is for semi-automatic and dumb EC on M.

this may fit better to me, where can I find/download it?

is it possible to read out focal length and adjust minimum Tv ??

no, not in LV, in "normal" AF-Photo mode.
I switched to the green rectangle to switch of some special settings e.g. focus mode and focus on the star-button
I guess no focus is than achieved because the outer points are used too

I built a 40D "snapshot" build (but without the FIR loader, as I haven't nailed down a procedure for putting one together yet), if anyone is interested. To "bump up" interest, there's also 5D3 and 50D builds there.

switching camera off an on, starting without ML (Set) -> nothing changed
after removing the CF card it worked

is anything I can look or log when this happens again?
(my 7D has ~180.000 shots, without ML this never happened)

with the first 2 alpha Versions sometimes all but the center focuspoint refused to work (in easy situations to focus)
after restart they all worked properly...
with the latest raw-versions this diddnt happen until now, but I didnt photograph very much with it, more playing with raw-video
