I'll probably edit out the clips of me but for now it gives you and idea of skin tones on a overcast evening.
Canon 5d Mark III
Canon 50mm 1.4
3008x1280 2.35:1
Magic Lantern 14 Bit RAW Lossless Compression
MLV Lite
Music licensed from Audiojungle.
Davinci Resolve Color management with Arri Log C selected for all.
Very light grade. Darker and low saturation. Color shift in the Gamma and Offset color wheel. S curve applied for contrast. No LUTs.
Default sharpness in RAW tab which is 10 I believe. WB set to daylight. Used RAW Zebras.
I exported to Cineform AVI to edit in Sony Vegas Pro 12.
Then I export to Cineform AVI medium quality to upload to vimeo.
I was actually using the
magiclantern-compressed_raw.2017Apr03.5D3113. If the compression rate stayed high enough I could get fairly long clips.
I did it the old 5x zoom way which is super difficult to frame.
I used the RawFlow app
http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=13338.0
but then replaced the MLVD_DUMP with the newest version.

5Diii + LP-E6n battery + ML ... Has it been tested yet? I assume as long as its genuine canon it should work. I just got one and it's charging now. I couldn't find anything in my search.

I am so sorry to banter about this but I have a little situation. The stuck pixel thing is real kicking my butt. I understand they appear at high ISO and they seemed to be the worst at high iso and slow fps override. I mean I have and image that i think was at 1600 at 1.5 fps and there are like 50 plus dead or stuck pixels ( i almost feel like it could be dust on my sensor maybe because a there are some that appear in the same spots) I dont have time to upload a pic but im trying to use resolve to export to avi then edit in sony vegas pro 12. I tried to despeckle with a blur matte in resolve but it was just very difficult and slow. Plus when i would go to full screen i would see a ton more that i miss at medium view and in full screen i cant edit them. ACR is great for despecking with a brush but its painfully slow for this project. How is everyone de-specking there images in resolve? Or do you have any methods for sony veags.

I watched a few tutorials on how to reset the sensor which i did with no results (maybe this is dust) I also watch another with aftereffects and premier i think? but i dont have those.

Im on 5d3 with a december build (cant remember but if you need specifics please let me know)

Im sooooo sorry if this has been addressed but this forum has grown quite a bit and its getting difficult to find things. Thank you sooooo much!!!!!!!!!!

Hi. I was searching the forum like crazy for the best tips on this. As far as I know with the normal raw video mode on the 5d3, the best way to prevent dead or hot pixels is to avoid higher ISO and longer exposure times like low fps override (1.5 fps). I also read the temp of the sensor plays a factor in this too. I find that with some of my footage, even at ISO 1600 @23.976 fps I have to blur out at least 5 to 6 dead or hot pixels. I'm on the dec 22 build I think on the 5d3. I usually use batchelor and ACR and Resolve Lite 10.2. I might not have the most current raw2dng.exe though. I use fps override all the time and shutter fine tuning. The only fix I have is to spot correct in post. Any other tips? Sometimes I miss 1 or 2 then I'm stuck rendering again. If this is redundant I am sorry and you can trash the topic. I guess I am looking for any new findings.

Ok so I made a custom prefix for my images in the canon menu. When I shoot with out ML my image names look like this JAD_#### but when I shoot with ML in, my image name look like this _AD_####. Is this a bug or is there a reason for this. Is this worth moving to the bug reports. I couldnt find anything on it. runing 0ct 22 nightly on 5d3.
here is what it looks like

Feature Requests / Lock 180 and 90 Degree Shutter.
October 11, 2013, 06:24:37 AM
Does any one know of a way to lock your shutter to different degrees with ML? Say i want to change frame rates and i want a perfect 180 shutter and i dont want to keep adjusting and fine tuning the shutter. right now im using fps override and shutter fine tuning and its a little tedious. Can anyone confirm that the shutter fine tunning gets you closer to 180 degree? being able to adjust and lock degrees would be nice. Just a thought.

General Development / 180 and 90 Degree Shutter
August 17, 2013, 07:58:38 PM
So I have been shooting RAW with FPS override on 5D3. Im trying to get as close to the 180 and 90 Degree shutters as possible depending on my frame rates. I have been using the shutter fine tuning to get that correct shutter goodness but the amount of fine tuning to use depends on a lot of settings and is different for most frame rates. Its a little time consuming if your shooting even if you have the numbers in your brain. Is there anyway to control the shutter buy degrees or lock it in so to speak? that way one could just adjust his frame rate and or degree and get that perfect motion goodness every time. Maybe im going about it all wrong or maybe theres something im missing. Please let me know what you think or if I should move this over to feature requests. Thank you!!!

Here are some tests I did with resolve vs acr for detail. Im sad because I love resolve but I seem to be having some detail issues even after dividing color and luma detail. Any thoughts?

Im trying to post some examples but im having trouble.

Hello! I was thinking it would be awesome to get native ML RAW support for Sony Vegas Pro. Is it possible? I know you can edit RED files right in the timeline and you can alter the raw data right inside Sony Vegas. Feel free to destroy this topic if its just taking up space.  ;D
