Hi guys. I finally took the plunge and installed the latest ML nightly for the 7d. I know there is a lot of focus on RAW video, but I am wondering if it is possible to get 1920x1080 60p continuous without RAW? I see I can get 960x386 60p RAW. Would this be something in the FPS override module that hasn't been back ported yet? Thanks
Not possible

You have to put it in the user library. Try hd/yourusername/library/youknowtherest

Nope

Answered many times but the camera only has a measly processor and can definitely not do real time encoding to any format other than raw or h264.

A stepper motor is a brushless motor with less power and more precision. Brushless motors are subject to cogging. They work well on gimbals because they can be wound to move really slowly and that reduces cogging to negligible levels but it wouldn't be practical in this instance because it needs to turn not stay in the same spot.

No because the devs don't want to risk the legalities of removing it.

I noticed there's a Canon 7D 2.05 firmware on their website, which I upgraded to -- this thread says to update to the "most recent" 2.03.

Will the Magic Lantern/Tragic Lantern work with 2.05?  Anyone test and successfuL?

Thanks!
It's not compatible. Also ignore canon, downgrading doesn't brick your camera.

Its compressed video, maybe slowed down by ACTUAL processing - who would imagine?

So what card?  M only has a 40mBps SD writer, my card is a 60mBps card, so How much is required ? Plz answer the question, not show math skills !! ;)

You only need a 45 or 60 mB/s card because as you stated the writer is only capable of 40mB/s.

On the other hand that h264 video was probably in megabits not megabytes and hence it was 17.5 megabytes per second.

Nice work!

140mb/s is 140/8 = 17.5mB/s. Raw video requires a lot of speed.

is it possible to set the aspect ratio freely, or are only some aspect ratios supported?
You can't set the ratio freely but there is a good selection.

Well the 7d component of the spreadsheet hasn't been updated in as long as I can remember which is just about when raw started working on the 7d.

I think that guy is afk and has been for quite some time. Could the spreadsheet be duplicated and the link replaced by the mods?

That spreadsheet is outdated. I'm pretty sure the 7D doesn't support exfat.

Man I wish rawmagic would be updated for MLV and wav support

Much better off with speed but I think the 7d has the bigger buffer

I haven't got a computer in front of me but something like this should work:
find {drag folder containing .mlv files} -name ".mlv" -exec {drag in mlv_dump} --mlv {} \;

Quick question. I've just got my komputerbay 64gb 1000x. What's normally the fastest write speed you see? I'm getting approx 80mB/s trying to write 1080p25.
