General Chat / Reverse LUT effect
September 05, 2016, 05:26:27 AM
Hello! I'm trying to create Instagram filters LUTs in DaVinci. How i'm trying to do that: I have a color calibrating chart (XRite) and i shoot two images: normal one with proper white balance and filtered one (screenshot from the Instagram where the filter already applied on my first image). Next - i can create my custom LUT in DaVinci using second image and Color Matching function for my color calibrating chart in DaVinci. But problem is — this LUT is about to convert filtered colors back to normal, so, how i can create "reversed" LUT based on this one? Or maybe i can create proper LUT directly in DaVinci, how?

If you have any other ideas about how to create LUT for my case, let me known!
Thank you!

General Help Q&A / Black bar on external monitor
September 05, 2015, 11:14:37 PM
Guys, any suggestions about how to remove this black bar on top of the video frame?

My 6D connected to external monitor via HDMI and i've tried all layout modes (16x9, 16x10, 3x2 etc) and to disable everything info except bottom and top lines.
Everything looks good on camera screen, only on external one i have this bar.

Feature Requests / Global Draw performance
June 04, 2015, 10:40:33 PM
Developers, i have a question/idea for you.
What the maximum fps for global draw available? If you guys can scan full hd picture from sensor for RAW recording - how fast you can output this data on the screen? Is this possible? (theoretically, maybe with some limitations like less fps, less color depth etc.) or maybe you can use part of this data just to fill the missing parts of the image outside of the gray frame in live view to cover full image? Just curious about to get clean picture on hdmi out.

Right now i'm using ML to hide everything on the screen (focus frame, all info, etc) and then cropping black parts of the frame in my capture software and rescaling it to full hd.

Check this video first:

on the second half of the video (night time) you can check for hot/bright pixel overlay.
What is that and how to get rid of that?
I'm using latest build for 6D and FPS override setup with low light value.
I've checked this one year old topic already with no luck...
