I did look for the lion version, not mlion, and got that installed. Don't know if the mlv2dng is the right version tho..
All i get is the mlv2dng file in a folder. aobut 146kb at size.

Is this all your files or just some.. I have experienced the some for some of my files.. Often the files I dont stop recording my self.. When the buffer is full..
#2
Nope.. The Mac gui version.. :-) 10.8.3
#3
I have found some kind of bug.. only some of my mlv files will convert.. haven't found the explanation yet

eeh.. I was thinking.. is it hard to learn how to build the latest stuff you guys do your self?

I'm not a programmer but would love to test the newest stuff as it comes.. I have tried to take a look around but cannot find any thing about how to build the 7D stuff your self?

Is there a hidden forum thread or something I cant find?

Just discovered something wierd.. When recording mlv and my external monitor is connected the raw crop changes.. see the screenshot

Also the screen resolution changes from 720X480 to 960X540

Is this useful in any way?

The 3X crop recording in raw video is indeed much sharper and less prone to aliasing and moire due to it recording 1:1 pixel from a cropped portion of the sensor, unlike 1X which employs line skipping to record from "almost" the entire height and width of the sensor.

This is different from 720 60P recording in h264 which is also recording from "almost" the entire height and width of the sensor but at more lower res to give you downscaled 720 60P and more aliasing and moire than what you see in 1080.

64gig gives you approx 15 min in 1728 x 972 resolution @ 24P

How do you get 3X crop mode?

Did you install The right version?
#9
This is for 10.8.3 Mountain Lion users.. I guess you can install the Lion version the same way...  gcc-mlion.tar.gz - Mountain Lion. gcc-lion.tar.gz - Lion version

Found a solution to get the mac versions to work (the absolutely non geeky/I dont know Unix way)... The problem is the "libstdc++.6.dylib". And WTF is that anyway.. My answer I DOOONT know.. Anyway.. I found the missing libraries to install.. Here is what you need to do:

Go to http://hpc.sourceforge.net and download this file http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/hpc/gcc-mlion.tar.gz?download.

Go to Terminal and cd to the download folder cd /Users/UserName/Downloads/ Then gunzip gcc-lion.tar.gz (if your browser didn't do so already) and then sudo tar -xvf gcc-mlion.tar -C /

I used 7zX because I dont know how to gunzip..

Restart your mac and BOOOOM!!! MLVConverter.app works for me...

Hope this helps some..

Hi guys!
I released a GUI MLV Converter for MacOSX :)

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/8769684/MLVConverter.app.zip

However, this version is very poor.
This converter has only function that convert plural .MLV sources at a time.
And this Converter does not have even a combination function for the present. :-[

Please use this Converter if you want to handle plural files easily.

8-beeeaaat!!!

I still get that dan error here.. WTF is "libstdc++.6.dylib" and why do I keep getting problems with that?

I just installed your Dropbox version - and when I boot it up I get a "scripts dir missing" message? Any idea?
sorry found my answer.. "Wend you turn on your camera if it say something like " no dir found" just go to ML forlder in cf card and make one folder with the name SCRIPTS."

Less of a raw question and more of a general development question:

Has any progress been made on the video recording, especially the FPS override? and exposure overrides?  This sunday I was hoping to use these features on the 7D, im not asking for perfection or completely bug free or anything, but if the devs have anything that generally works I would greatly appreciate it.

Many thanks! Keep up the great work!

I'm a mac user and got it to work.. I used Prarllels to use the EOScard software.. That fixed it for me.. You can see if the new firmware is working with bootflag by the new and updated GUI

Did you enable the bootflag?

Quote from: biere1 on August 14, 2013, 10:38:03 AM
no problem...thanks anyway...

any mac user out there that would help me?

Hope you will have a GREAT trip.. Thanx for damn good work so far.. :-)

I've made some small change on raw_rec and put it my fork here: https://bitbucket.org/Pelican/7d/commits/fb1fecf174e4d3cefdbe0a2d582f10715d31c921

I don't know if it is do something or not,  it's need more testing.
I'm packing now and go to Brazil until October so I cannot continue the work on it.

Best chance to make the 7D raw_rec usable ask g3gg0 to finish it.

Yep v. 1.38 works.. I love you guys.. Such a great job you guys do.. BTW.. love the new GUI :-)

AAAH.. there is my problem.. Now all I need is to get EOScard to work.. I get that damn error.. :-/

Quote from: pfluger on August 03, 2013, 06:20:38 AM
If you have the three ROM bin files this means the bootflag in camera was successfully set.
Copying the autoexec.bin and ML folder is not enough, you have to use the EOScard tool to enable the bootflag on the CF card. Even with the bootflag enabled in camera using the patched firmware, it will only boot the CF card if that too is marked for boot.
#21
MAN I feel like a fool.. What is the M TAB?? "All" I got is Audio, Expo, Overlay, Movie, Shoot, Focus, Display, Prefs, Debug and Help. And The auto boot in to ML still doesn't work.. and yes I have ML folder and autoexec.bin in root on my CF card.

Quote from: arrinkiiii on August 03, 2013, 02:36:49 AM
Than after the first boot of the camera it create the "DCIM" and "MISC" right?  YES

BTW I dont see the dual ISO stuff in the ML menu If you see the ML menu is because you have able to do the bootflag and run the new ML.

Sooo... For activate the dual iso you go to the M  TAB. Activat the dual iso module and then go to the Expose Module and chose the dual iso and the iso itself.

This is what I did.. I had no problem with the flash part.. BUT.. My camera will not auto boot in to ML.. :-/ The card has to just have the Autoexec.bin and the ML folder in root right? Than after the first boot of the camera it create the "DCIM" and "MISC" right? If I try to run the old way with the fake firmware update from the canon menu there is (of cause) no firmware on the CF card.. Something has went wrong some where.. Just dont know where??? BTW I dont see the dual ISO stuff in the ML menu if I take the latest ML and boot it the "old way" Where do I find it?

You dont need the EOSCard.  EOSCard just donwload the zip file with the new ML files and save in your CF card. You can downlod the files from the link that i post. But you need still to bootflag your camera.

TWO STEPPS

1- Bootflag your 7D

2-Paste the new ML files to your CF card and you are done
