I'll try to fix it in cr2hdr (most likely I will add a command-line switch called --video).

Not yet sure if I'll use the post deflicker algorithm or I'll simply force black/white levels and ISO match curve to be the same for all frames.

Looking forward for this fix, i'll test it as soon as its updated.

is anyone having this kind of flicker?

https://vimeo.com/89151079

any thoughts on how to remove it?
#54
look this is what i got:

https://vimeo.com/89151079

https://vimeo.com/89151097

both rendered through resolve, do you think flickering is because of the amount of highlight recovery i made in resolve?

cheers

i just processed two dual iso clips, both of them had flicker, one more than the other but noticable in both of them, not acceptable for pro work, bummer, is there some parameter i can change in order to eliminate flicker?

thx in advance

cheers!

currently uploading both, i'll post them as soon as they're up

What would your settings be in a night to day timelapse if you during the night part you want to have car light trails (at least 5 seconds long)?
#60
I had the same problem, figured out that if you export individual clips in your timeline you wont get audio, but if you export all the timeline as a single clip you'll have audio. I Don't know why resolve works like this.
#61
no proxies
#63
What camera are you using markus?

have you had any issues if you record the full 256gb?
#64
the only two things i like better in ae than in resolve is the dead pixel automatic removal and better highlight recovery in acr.
#65
thx, will try the resolve/blur way

in most of the wherehouse shots i have a few blown out pixels, you can see them clearly at the 00:26 shot, i've tried normal raw2dng, and escho raw2dng but none of them seem to remove the blown out pixels, how can i remove them? any ideas?

note: final color correction is done in resolve 10.

Okay next test, I used raw2dng_escho.exe and got clean dng files (not cdng).  As those won't open in PPro, they do open in After Effects so I loaded them up in AE.  No funky pixels.  My camera is fine I now understand.  Keep on going, testing, winning!

raw2dng_escho is my go to option at the moment too.

Did you fill up your card? If so, you may have lost the audio that was in the buffer that hadn't been written to the card yet (at least, that is my understanding of what can happen in some cases).

sounds logic, but actually those were the first two takes on a 128gb card, and even at the end i didn't fill it up. weird problem i have since its no logic to me that the video in one take lasts more than the audio in the same take, how could the audio stop and not the video too? i'm crossing my finger its a bug in mlv_dump or i'm doing something wrong and the audio is there i just can't get it out.

thx anyway, appreciated.

hey guys, i'm having some trouble with at least two mlv files, once they output the .raw or the .dng and the .wav file, the dngs are ok, they last about 1405 frames wich is about 58.6 seconds in 23.976, but the wav file that mlv dump outputs only lasts 37 seconds, any idea why this is happening? do you think i'm doing something wrong? or mlv dump has some kind of bug?

the settings i remembered using were 1920x1080 23.976 no override of any kind (shutter or fps), audio was enabled with a 48kHz sampling rate, i used the first nightly build that had audio integrated, that means the one from the 7th of february, i'm using a 5d mark iii.

any help would be greatly appreciated. (it was a paid job, tascam broke down in set and had to use audio recording)

thx in advance

cheers

Yeah, it IS true! I'm running 7.2.1 (4).. the file formats are all different now.. I have a lot of image sequences for example.. and inside Quicktime MOV I have this:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/eicb6qmz1aya7pl/prores.jpg

But whenever I hit export I get a compiler error... maybe I screwed things up myself.. but it IS there!

okj i got it, you can export from premiere cc in windows IF you install mediareactor, then a lot more codecs will appear, including prores, i've already donde this but actually i can export to prores with no problems!  :)

my premiere doesn't even have quicktime mov option! i'm running latest version, i would love to export to prores in windows, i think you have something installed in your pc that activated those codecs.

[dualISO] will look on that. but, be sure i will use the cr2hdr.exe-converter from a1ex..

regards chmee

nice to hear that, one constant problem i have doing most of dual iso video post processing is flickering (sometimes really bad, sometimes subtle)

dual iso plz!

Is there a way to have dual iso enabled in photo mode and not in video mode? Im always switching between both and that would be a time saver.
