You are absolutely correct. I do a lot of timelapses and they force me to stay next to the camera for several hours. Your module + AETTR is a way to put camera on "Auto" and do other stuff. I'm getting really great results of this combo + your deflicker script. And do not mind some jitter in time domain - can fix it in post for what I do. If it's not hard to implement, I think a lot of people will say thank you.

Playing with cool script here. Great work. The best of all it that it accounts for adjustments made. Supercool.

But I think deflicker is not changing keyframes. And IMHO it should - otherwise deflikering is not working correctly if several keyframes are set for changing color temperature for example.

Hi! I think it's really cool to add feature like automatic interval ramping.

"ETTR exporure time" + user set X seconds. This will help to avoid overlaping shoot interval with actual exposure time and give AETTR algorithm enough time to read the preview to determine correct exposure.

Lets say we are doing day into the night timelapse. We want 15 sec intervals during the daytime. But later at night exposure time will be 30 seconds. The feature I'm asking for will do this automatically, so we do not have to predict times and set key frames for manual interval ramping.

Thx!

My guess is that your shuttertime collided with the interval, so etttr-and deflicker-modules have no time to adjust exposure:

I guess your timelapse turns out brighter than the original exposure was due to the ML-deflicker.
So the shuttertime could be over the critical 10 seconds (with interval 15").

That's probably it. It did overlap. Will do another test today. Thx for the idea!

Now we need automatic interval ramping with settings like "ETTR exporure time" + user set X seconds. This will avoid such glitches and will run fully automatic.

Hi guys!
I've been playing with this amazing feature and ran into some troubles. I had 5d3/ML 2013-10-24 with recommended settings in first post. Manual 14mm lens. 15 sec interval, slowest shutter 32, highlight ignore 2%, Midtone SNR limit 5EV, Shadow SNR limit 2 EV. First part went very fine, but after the first half I had a small jump in exposure. Not a big problem. But look what started happening in the end... Any ideas what was the problem here? Thx!

Thx lourenco for posting compiled firmware, I was able to do quick test today in 1920x1080 with Lexar x1000.

In the middle of testing my battery died while NOT recording. This damaged the file system and I lost half of the files on the card. It just started displaying "no space left".

Otherwise it's amazing.

Looks totally cool!

I can't find automatic profile switching for preview/recording.
Or we never had it in 5dm3?

I did a long shoot and it restarts automatically.

Ooops. Just checked again and this shooting was without ML.

Great! Thank you!!!

Yes. Didn't help though. Just came back home and changed to normal SD card.
#64
Yes, it stopped working after I changed to manual m43 lens. But changing back to EF didn't help.

Amazing update! Thank you so much!
Tried to load from Eye-Fi card, worked 1 time only. Next were black screen. Only pulling Eye-Fi card helped.

Otherwise it's megacool. Anamorphic display is WOW.

Alex, how hard is intervalometer to implement in next Alpha?

Hi guys!
Great work!
Just tested Lexar 32Gb x1000 and got 85MB/s write speed. Read test was skipped.
