Do you have a 650d and 700d?
Quote from: mk11174 on January 27, 2014, 04:55:49 PM700D firmware 1.1.3 that is the one I'm using since december
Yeah, still same issue as last time with meters full time on your camera, they were said to read high for some reason, to bad, cause the only way you can use Audio Remote Shoot is if meters are going fulltime, fine on 700D, but def does not seem fine on 650D, sorry 8[, was worth a shot though. And no, I can't borrow a 650D to test with, sorry.
Quote from: mk11174 on January 27, 2014, 02:56:40 PMJanuary 13 build has the right levels but meters only while recording this january 27 fulltime meters audio not stable, audio levels high, Is there any way you can borrow a 650 somewhere?
I turned on Audio Remote shoot for you with meters full time, works fine on 700D, hope it works for the 650D as well, here is the link. Also updated to latest ML source.

Quote from: mk11174 on January 26, 2014, 11:11:28 PMMeters working great very stable , I've done 2 events with the camera , bit rate 1.6 , zebras, cropmarks. Perfect
It does work on the test version with audio meters, but wont be in the nightly builds because audio meters push the camera tasks to its limits so it is considered unstable, but working great on 700D and should work fine on yours too with beep task disabled, but not sure since I dont have 650D, on 700D disabling beep task is just enough to keep the camera stable in photo and movie mode and audio trigger works fine in both when meters are enabled. I can only share the version with you but it wont be allowed in nightly till someone with better skills can figure out the task issues.

Can someone tell me if Zebras are supposed to appear in Playback mode? I only see them when Liveview is enabled. GlobalDraw is set to ON.

Sorry guys, the meters need to be killed till the camera can handle all the tasks correctly, Alex feels its just not stable enough yet and he has done this for many years so we need to trust him. So no more meters at all in the Nightly, but if you would like a version of it, I will be happy to post link for you guys for testing, I am running them on my 700D and all is good so far, but as Alex says, it does not mean it is stable yet. But we need to test it to be sure, we need to put them to work and see how the camera can deal with the extra tasks and the 650D and 700D are bother by a Task limit for some reason.

Well, not perfect fix yet anyway, it was only suppose to be a temp solution until we get the audio code written for our audio chip, but I guess it does no good if meters are not accurate, probably best to not use then?

I think you got me wrong there. The colors of the meters are fine the levels just dont represent the real levels that are being recorded (to much db and flickering). To get the ML-Levels to show the real db-values I have to open up the Canon-audiomenu and close it again. Then the levels are correct.
Just test if you got diffrent db-values after opening and closing the canon audio menu.
tbh I dont think this has anything to do with a to slow sd-card.
Quote from: homba_gomba on January 12, 2014, 02:12:42 AMNo No flickering at all , If is flickering I guess you are not using a fast enough card, but just guessing.
Hi there guys,
I just registered to report a Bug:
When I boot the Magic Lantern Build with the Full Time Audio Meters, the meters do show up but they flickering a lot and are showing way to high levels (compared to the native canon audio meters). To get rid of these flickering I need to go to the Canon audio settings and back and then the levels show up correctly.
Anyone else noticed this ?
I am using a Rode Videomic Pro on my 650D, dont know if it affects these issue.
Also, im not sure if I may missed anything, but I do not have an audio-tab on my ML-menu.
Quote from: mk11174 on January 12, 2014, 12:48:21 AMMeters are a lot, a huge step with my Rebel, Thank you
No, unfortunatly now from me, I don't know how to program the Audio IC code, so for now this is all we can get. I only know very basic stuff.
Quote from: mk11174 on January 11, 2014, 11:55:10 PMYes does work. Full time Jesus you are Great, Any chance to adjust levels while recording. Thank you
Anyone want to test to see if Full Time Audio Meters now work?

Quote from: mk11174 on January 08, 2014, 01:29:59 PMMeters are a huge advancement for me , do you think adjusting levels while recording is possible in the near future ? Again thanks.
Probably not for awhile, I believe only 1% has been working on other cameras with the same audio chip, code needs to be re-written to make all those features work with ML.
Adding the stubs was just a tiny first step, but at least we will have sound with mlv_rec, that is huge in my eyes.
But yeah, we do have the audio features in Canon menu, so not really needed I guess.
Quote from: brewerrj on December 04, 2013, 04:40:22 AMThank you so will buy 32x2
my 32gb cards work fine, no different then 8 or 16.. i believe the trouble starts at 64gb!

Give MyMenu a try.
Prefs -> Customize Menus ON. Then Expo -> ISO -> [Q] -> ML digital ISO -> [Set]
Mark all other menu items you want to have a shortcut to, then browse to MyMenu.
While shooting just press the trashcan button.
"Standard" shortcut to ISO is via Prefs -> Arrow/SET shortcuts -> ISO/Kelvin ON.
Prefs -> Misc key settings -> LCD Sensor Shorcuts ON.
Now just place a finger near the LCD Sensor. Controls will toggle. Use Arrow right/left to change ISO. Trigger LCD sensor again and controls toggles back.
HTH
Ciao

Seen the ISO button in front of the mode dial? I suppose any shortcut shorter might require some kind of neural interface not involving fingers.
Ciao, Walter
