Is faster to confirm that you are in external mic, and sound is fine because meters are working.
and just plug out and then you are sure you are in internal,
Menu for this add extra work where is not needed.
And again 22 levels is already a lot , HOW ABOUT HEADPHONE JACK ?

I personally think that 63 levels is too much, too many clicks to adjust levels, Say for example my Panasonic P2 Broadcast camera that has build in XLR connectors and good
Preamps, plus a Headphone jack has only 14 levels, 21 levels is fine but 63 ???
Another thing , Was great to test  this but, the feature external and internal mic , can lead to mistakes I will not use it.

I can add a choice to set it from *1 to *3
Another choice that might be needed. WOOOW

Also I doubt it's possible but if we could use half clicks somehow we could achieve even less hiss while using the cameras pre Amps
This cameras are not high level audio recorders that is why 60 plus steps is not useful in real life 20 plus is perfect.
If you want that type of accuracy, should use a mixer and external sound.

By the way, I added the feature to go from Internal Mic to External mic and vice versa while an Internal Mic is plugged in, but is it really of any use to do that? If there is, I will keep it in the module.

Only advantage is if for some reason you want to quickly switch to your internal mics without messing with the mic plug on cam if one is plugged in, but again, does anyone ever do that?

I can't do anything cool like putting int on one channel and ext on another channel, just the basic disable external mic while it is still plugged in.

It is interesting for example for some reason we can record isolated sounds with the shotgun on camera, and suddenly ambient recording with the omni build in.

Another situation could be the shotgun on camera gets static sounds or some how gets strange sounds  by hardware problems, then switch to internal and at least get some audio
( For this last situation a headphone jack will be necessary )

So... what advantage do you get by duplicating Canon controls in ML menu?
Are there differences in what the meters are showing? Last time I've checked on 5D3, they were showing the same thing.
ML Audio menu is faster or more simple, concept is clearer, steps x3, more logic for this device. Visual representation matches 100% what we see when recording

So question is, do we like the quicker way to get from min to max by multiplying by 3 or finer control from 0 to 63 just as in Canon menu???

I will be happy to tweak it however you think is best??

X3 is better hands down.

But I can add the stub for setvolumein though if you want to see if module works on 650d too.

Sure I'll love to try it

it most likely can be used on 650d just need to add the stub, not sure bout the eye sensor thing?

Arrow set shortcuts is the name of the function, when you activate the eye sensor, shows some shortcuts to adjust iso, kelvin speeed etc, will be great if you with your brilliant mind get to use that for the recording level while recording. Can you add a stub for the 650D  ?

FOR 700D/T5i ONLY!!!
I created a module to give us 700D users use of Manual Audio Input within ML Audio menu if anyone is interested in giving it a shot.

Can this module be used on the 650D or can you make one for that one with the shorcuts , so can be adjusted calling the control from the eye sensor, is that too much to ask for ? ?

@mk11174, you're the man!
Some time ago I was wondering why the external flash in live view didn't work using ML options, Well this might be good info for one of the developers like
mk11174 or Alex, The SL1 or 100D, Does fire external flashes in live view, I'm not a developer , but probably one of you guys could check the code and see
how it goes to apply it to the 650D, 700D or probably to all those ML Cameras that don't do this.

Probably this camera will not have ML, BUT is good everyone to know that Can shot external strobes in live view, which is a novelty in this Canon Cameras.

crap i may sell this and get a t5i

There is not ML for recent T5i cameras they all come with the new firmware 1.1.3 and ML is for 1.1.1, Keep your SL1 at least is smaller.

Yes in fact is matter of getting used to going to Canon menu when in manual. Is great to be able to check levels, Thank you.
The sound shutter is very interesting and works perfect. 8) ;D

Meters are fine to show in both cases, and other testers have said they are stable on both 650d and 700d  :)
No, on Manual before to hit record shows different levels that when you hit record, as you explained, shows automatic levels on manual, because ML is not capable yet to control manual gain
Unless we go Canon menu or record a 1 second video and then engages the right levels or Canon menu levels.
That is why will be nice if on manual shows meters only while recording just to remember going to Canon menu to verify.
On automatic is perfect congratulations and thank you.
#250
Can you show meters while recording on manual and show meters full time with automatic, because meters full time on manual in a stressful situation
can lead to mistakes.
