The only reason why I have not buy the Canon 70D yet is because Magic Lantern is not available for that model, Have being using ML since 4 years ago.
The 650D version is so reliable that I use it for commercial work, Not MLV or RAW because increasing bit rate works for me, and is a faster workflow

Probably some other settings in my ML configuration influence on that, any way no problem , I noticed that by mistake, since I never press that button after
that button in real life. By the way what version of nightly builds are you using ? I mean what date ?

mk11174, Does it mean you have a new module for headphone monitoring ?

"Slightly sharper" appears to be far more accurate and easier to judge than the other focus peaking method (in my opinion).

Yes it is, Magic zoom works great , I mean with minimum flickering, with the small size and 1 to one factor

I think the T4i 700D are more advanced cameras than 7D in fact , 5 years jounger + ML , The only reason I haven't buy the 70D is because ML is not available yet.
Today I'll only buy the 7D if Sports photography will be my target.

NANOMAD
I have installed ML 5 times. I can not get peaking or the help menu to work. I feel like I am missing something when I do the download. The instructions might make sense to most, but not me. Can you please walk me through this more thoroughly? I really need the peaking feature more than anything.

Use slightly sharper, and magic zoom, I think work better than peaking, in fact are fantastic focus aids

Ok, that has something to do with our fps, right from the start with this cam even before updating the new port our fps fluctuates, and the redraw in that corner causes this to happen with your elapsed time.

Go ahead and turn the tweak to off and watch your frame rate jump around from 23.973 to 23.983 it does it randomly and was one thing never solved on this camera.

If not possible to fix the jump, Personally find more useful, The elapsed time than the frame rate, that any way , is one of the first decisions when start recording

Hi guys, I'm sure this has been asked before, but is there a way to adjust audio levels while recording? (Specifically with the t5i) I love that levels were added onto the main ML screen, but it would be so awesome to get that extra bit of control.

Install volume module , https://bitbucket.org/mk11174/700d113/downloads/Aug_01_2014_vol_64.zip
Then while you record go to ML Menu and adjust volume

This means, it's a known bug? And: when I'm focussing with LV my hand changes that much while going back to optical view the image won't be that sharp anymore. This wouldn't be a solution...:(
Yes it is I have done action shots that way, You have to be fast, Practice and you will get the hang of it, I wish that will work as in the SL1 but doesn`t.

Hi!

I bought a Yongnuo flash for my EOS 650d and noticed it does not fire with Liveview. Thank god there's MagicLantern I thought and so I tried ML. I had an older version from march this year on my SD card and I found the flash tweak, where you can use LV flash with non-Canon-flashes and XXXd-cams. What happened was this: I switched on live view, focused with half-pressed shutter. The live view vanished and I can press the shutter completely. The picture will be shot but no flash was firing. Afterwards nothing happened, the menu was frozen I couldn't do anything, just switching off the camera, everything else was blocked. After switching on it seemed half of the battery power had been gone in this operation. The picture was there but because of the missing flash fire too dark. Ok, I thought, maybe the build is too old and so I tried the nightly build from August 2nd. But: same problem, no flash, camera hangs. And now what? Giving back the flash or wait until this bug is fixed? And: had anyone managed to do it with another cam? How does it work? At least it's only some kind of technically trick I learned from the documentation. Maybe it's horrible to get around with it?

Thank you! BTW, this is a marvellous firmware, I don't want to miss it anymore! Everytime I'm thinking about buying another cam I just compare the stuff the new camera can do and the stuff ML can do. ML is far up in the sky compared to all of the rest! You did a great job! Bad news for me: I have to stay with canon cams which is not always the cheap side of the world. But it's worth it! Canon should pump money in this project!

Yes,  that is what happens, The SL1 or 100D, is the only one capable to shot external strobes in live view, with The 650D what you have to do is get focus then go to optical view
finder and press shutter , NOT activating this function in ML , because when you activate this in ML the camera gets frozen.

ridiculously expensive way with a JuicedLink Riggy-Assist RA333.

Good Preamps cost money and that is a hardware topic

Thank you , I mean it

Now again with the August 1 build, the volume control in ML doesn't work , it says Oldapl, can mk11174 update it again  ?
Or will not be compatible with following builds ?
By the way gradual exposure is a fantastic function ,!

Please give 3-4 hours, I have to go out

Bump.

Remember that mk11174 doesn't have a 650D, so he couldn't run the built-in tests for SRM memory.

Ok I have the screen shot, Do I have to do something before ?
This July 25 version

Glad it is building for you again, not sure about the bitrate speed, I don't know of any improvements since the failed builds, I just added the stibs to get srm-memory going which I believe only helps with raw video, giving you probably double the frames you were able to record before. Just glad its up and running for you, that is the main thing.  :)
Yes that is fantastic Now I con go up to 2.2 100 mbs for long recording without filling the buffer , also the mentioned issue of the screen shot is gone,
The reason why use high bit rates instead of raw is because my paid workflow , has time limits.
High bit rate gives tremendous possibilities in post

Please post memory screenshots and some test results (before and after) here: http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=12528

There were no code changes regarding bitrate, or write speed.

I don't have a screen shot  from before, but in the July 18 build after adding the volume control module, I don't know if because memory  or what the maximum bit rate was up to 1.5
for various minutes, When I tryed to increase say to 1.6, the recording was able to run  for a few seconds before the buffer filled.
Now with the latest build including the volume control module, I can go up to 2.2 for long recording time giving me a 100 mbs  bit rate and without filling the buffer.

I submitted the srm-memory stubs for your camera, if they are accepted that should solve the build issue.

Hey mk11174, strong and nice , latest build perfect from start with latest build, Thanks. No issues at all
Also much better general performance ,incresing bit rate UP TO 100 MBS , wow ;)
