I recorded videos in crop mode 1920 1:1 (5D mark III), exported to *.dng and deleted sources.
But result files contains vertical stripes:

How can I fix it additionally? MLVApp can not open generated dng-files.

52
When I turn on/off crop mode, screen FeelWorld F570 is black for 2 seconds (same effect when I press Menu button). But next hdmi resolution is still 1080p without change...

Is it possible reduce downtime?

FPS 31 - max +-1/1100
FPS 32 - max +-1/960
FPS 33 - max +-1/390
FPS 34 - max +-1/410
FPS 35 - max +-1/280
FPS 36 - max +-1/310
FPS 37 - max +-1/220
FPS 38 - max +-1/210
FPS 38 - max +-1/200

Reverse Engineering / Re: UHS-I / SD cards investigation

However, while running some low-level benchmarks (without overclocking), my CF card stopped working

I have broken KomputerBay 64GB 1000x. When I was recording to RAW a few years ago: camera crash and CF contains file with strange name... Slow format was not possible (stop after +-60%).

I tried program "SD Card Formatter" today... Result? Crash and cappacity is 31,9 MB... => absolute RIP

Does any newer Canon camera still have this feature?
Probably only EOS-1D C, EOS-1D X and EOS 5D Mark III has this feature.

5D Mark IV has touch screen display ("Touch pad" is not in manual)

There is another english video about this feature:

Will it be possible to overclock the "CF" interface...?
I had same question ☺

Had the same problem, it's because auto-white-balance is standard set as a shortcut key.
In your case AWB still has shortcut key: "Foc Pnts" in LiveView (6D).

In my case AWB has shortuct key: "RATE" (5DIII). It is good. But mostly I press this button by mistake.

Can easily take months or years

Ok. Is it possible detect change ISO, aperture and shutter value? If yes, this hack could be work:

1. Save value (ISO, aperture, shutter) after all change by ML.

2. When is some value changed and does not equal to saved value (only for change by Canon code - Scrollwheel controls):
reset current value to saved value and set decreassed/encreased ML value.

Scrollwheel controls
It's not possible to remap them while recording. In standby, ML menu uses a trick: it opens some Canon dialog in background to steal wheel events from it, but this trick doesn't work while recording.

Can "log *ALL* MMIO reads/writes" be helpful for finding another trick?

It would be possible add some shortcut key for crop mode?

(Button INFO is enough if it does not work otherwise.)

68
Thx! I will download next alpha version.

- delete selected video from session (e. g. Del)
When I delete some video, first video is always selected. It will be better select next video with nereast index ;)

69
Please, can you add more key shortcuts?
I used this key shortcut in unsupported application  MlRawViewer:
- Cut In/Out (e. g. Shift+I/Shift+O when 'I' is used for Info)
- go to previous/next video (e. g. K / J)

- delete selected video from session (e. g. Del)

However, the feature you are looking for is really easy to do - just change the display buffer address (start from the full-screen magic zoom code or HDR video flicker workarounds, and tweak from there). Scrolling left to right should be straightforward; scrolling up and down will display additional things (likely noise), but if you can zoom on the external monitor, that should be harmless.
Please, can someone help with implementing?

Topic split from TFT SIO communication (tft_regs.mo).

I run "Brute-force all registres" on 5D3 v123 with HDMI monitor. No registrer change view on monitor (as could be expected).

Is it possible prepare some brute-force test for registeres that could be change view on HDMI monitor?

I am looking for some alternative for magic-zoom on HDMI monitor
(e. g. "Scroll" HDMI output: http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=18488.0).

Are you talking about previewing in the camera in the Canon "Play" mode?
Yes. All thumbnails are black... This is problem.
