Archived porting threads / Re: Canon 70D
April 29, 2014, 08:37:55 PM
Uh right sorry. I have the camera beside me [emoji3]

I've started working on it, but it's something that takes time as it's also a good occasion for fixing some minor ML quirks that I find along the way

That is an idea (provide a synthetic event to be processed by the underlying canon dialog and not us. A simple left/right combo may be enough).

Yeah the code could be better documented, I agree
#3
I'm investigating it. It's a timeout of the hijacked canon dialog but so far I had no luck in killing the actual timer that fires it

Please continue the discussion on the other thread (linked by satriani)

IIRC You need to set Image review to "HOLD" from canon menu, overlays will then appear after taking a picture. If in doubt, make sure to clear the old ML config you have on the camera then go through ML menus to check how to enable them (the help text should guide you)

I don't even have the camera in my hands yet :)

I'll make sure to update everyone when I get going :)

The blog is something I'm strongly convinced I should do, if nothing to help me keep track of what needs to be done (both for the 70D and for "ML" internals).

Does anyone have suggestions for a small blogging engine? Even something without comments is fine (I''m thinking of using the forum for that)

Your best bet would be 2.3 stable. Otherwise you'd have to sift through hg logs and figure it out

As long as it will

What compiler version are you using? (of gcc-arm-none-eabi)

If you guys can extract them in JPG format I'll try and make some custom emoticons out of them

Thanks everyone! I'm speechless :o

Right now the funds sit at 812€ after the fees

I'll leave the campaign running in case anyone wants to contribute towards the AC adapter

Thanks once more, without your help this probably would have taken longer

Not true anymore  :D

 - Video on DSLR was Canon's "Killer" app. They basically owned the market from the start and got quite a huge lead until the recent days
- ML (  8) )

I think it will work just fine, ML is emulating a user pressing the shutter button

It needs to be supported by smf out of the box.. Maybe smf is the issue here..

Yeah guys, you love to flood the mail server :|

Had to disable it once more. Suggestions are welcome... It would be nice if SMF actually batched mail sending (e.g. using batched BCC when multiple people subscribed to the same thread)

Use an image hosting site like imgur

For the time being, I've decided to set-up a a GoFundMe Campaign to raise some funds for the 70D

Feel free to donate if you want to :)

No idea, I don't have one to test

No. Things will come as they will.
I expect more tested and stable functions to come first, audio last. Raw video probably sits in the middle

It's a cloud flare issue, you should report it to them. The Web server has been running non stop
#22
There may be a fix coming sometime soon. No promise
#23
Well, not until it gets merged
#24
The EOSM installer is broken and should not be used until further notice

Yes it was. We'll run a test period with notifications back on for now
