There's a thread currently that states those Komputerbay 1000X cards will work.

Awesome, can you link to thread? Thanks!

Does anyone have any experience with komputerbay cards? They have a few 1000x cards that are a little cheaper than the other cards.

I remember reading somewhere that 64gb files are better for speed as apposed the 128gb cards? Am I making this up? What cards do you recommend getting?

I can't find it now but I read that card speed is not the issue so would this work with sd cards as well? I am having trouble with my slow non code oriented mind, following along with the YUV 422 along side the DNG threads. Are both available for the 5d3? How come I can not find the cam on the nightly builds? tragic lantern 2.0 doesn't have a list of compatible cameras, is TL available for the 5d3?

Also, unrelated question, has anyone used komputerbay 1000x cards? I want to pick up a few because of the amazing advancements here, but now am thinking that it would be fruitless... thoughts?

So i want to test this out on my 5d mk iii, but the nightly builds don't include that in the list of cams, am I missing something, I'm sorry I'm sure this gets asked a lot, should I be using tragic lantern?

This link is dead, anyway we can get that on vimeo somehow? Or some other medium?

So i have been saving and seeing a few options. Should I save for extreme cf cards, or invest in something like an atomos ninja and straight to ssd.

There was a notion a while ago about the possibility of using photo jpeg and getting extreme resolution and bitrates from the 5d, is that no longer a pipe dream?

If I went the Atomos route, would I still be able to load ML through the SD and record with the Atomos Ninja? I am guessing there is no way to tell until next tuesday.

With the announcement of the 5d Mark III firmware update, scheduled for April 30th, how would that affect ML?

Are people excited for the update? Should users be wary of upgrading since it may not allow ML to work?

Love to hear the communities thoughts, and as always, thank you for your hard work!

Anyone heard of an update to the press release last october about a firmware update for the 5d III that will have clean hdmi out? It's april and no news.

SanDisk is having a Amazon lightning deal today I was wondering the the SanDisk Ultra CompactFlash 16 GB Memory Card 30MB/s SDCFH-016G-U46 was a fast enough card to be able to do some of the work that the future of ml will hold. I know the Lexar 1000x is the preferred card, just wondering if this is even worth buying a couple sandisks. - link

I don't see your point. To get a different resolution, one has to resample the sensor in a different way.

Sorry I was just running off strictly numbers, didn't know that.

I have higher hopes for uncompressed 422 video saved on the card, not via HDMI.

Hey a1ex, I may be wrong but aren't uncompressed 422 and compressed 2k about the same write speeds? Which ones are you leaning towards researching, and what are your thoughts on it all? Thanks for all your hard work!

So should I start investing in some 1000x lexars?

I forget where, but I remember reading somewhere about starting a kickstarter, I personally think having a fundraising campaign would be a great idea, and open the floor to a broader spectrum of people who can donate.

Is that still on the table?

This is all very exciting! I can't thank you guys enough for all this incredible work.

So knowing that these write speeds are around 89 mbs on lexar 1000x, what would that theoretically mean, I have read on here some pretty incredible numbers, but how feasible are they?

What would it take (monetarily, teamwork help, devs) to get these things up and running? What road blocks are you hitting?

This is incredible! How stable does it run?
