I've looked around and don't see a generalized recommendation for the ideal settings on a Canon 60D recording video of basketball games in a gym. Typically the lighting is fluorescent, camera will either be stationary on one side of the gym, or if sitting in the middle of the bleachers it will be left-to-right / back-and-forth action on a tripod.

I've been using the auto setting, but the video is very soft.  I can add sharpness post processing, but would love to have the best video possible up front instead.  I typically set my focus on something half court, like the scoring table.  I can't manually adjust focus during a game, so I accept I'm sacrificing focus on near and far action, but compromising between the extremes.  I also don't want to use Wide Angle.  Here are my settings in Auto:

Canon 60D body
Canon EFS 18-135mm lens (set with AF and Stabilizer On)
f5.6     1/33
ISO A3200
AWB
1920x1080
30 FPS
Magic Lantern Version: Nightly.2017Sep15.60D111
Movie Restart: ON (continuous recording)

I think it should be pretty easy to understand where I am, typical high school gyms across the country, and the lighting is generally similar.  We've all been at gyms right?  Are there manual settings that will make my video sharper up front? that will take in the entirety of the gym more clearly?  I need to encompass as much area as possible, with a broad focus, and view everything as clearly as possible.  Just seeing if I can do better than AUTO.  Or some things I can try at least.  I'm fine to experiment, but not sure WHAT settings to try?

Thanks!
