Yes, ML700D, I just edited my post. 

You are a big fan of Dual ISO, aren't you?  Well, I have very good news for you.  Your 700D creates miracles with Dual ISO 100/800 with the Full-res LV preset at 18 fps now: 1736x2928/10bit/18fps/1/33s.  You have to be very careful with exposure though.  Even slight over or underexposure will produce corrupt frames.   But once you get it right, you will enjoy a very clean and naturally looking image.  Just give it a try and report back!

I couldn't compile using qt6 and got an error like no "make" or "qmake" something like that..

why when use 1fps overrides lv looks very choppy, lag and changing darker then brighter like that?

the liveview and all stuff will work with 1fps too so it's better to set everything before turning the fps override on.

have you tried the original nightly build for your cam? maybe it will lack some functions and SD card overclocking, but for such low speed recording it is not necessary anyway. which makes it possible to shoot timelapses with cameras that have even the slowest SD controller.

never tried.. but I will try to experiment later

yes you're right, I failed to record using 1 fps on the bright scene and I got error, the fps overrides always changing back and forward from 1 to 25 fps I don't know why.. the live view is so lag too.

just a bit suggestion, in MLVapp sidebar I think it's better to put profile tab and lut tab above processing tab
so we don't have to scrolling up and down when choosing different profile or enable creative adjustment and lut.
this is more convenient I think.

I tried fps overrides 1 fps but the result was not as expected, looks laggy instead of time-lapse.
I set 25fps crop_rec 1x3 4K preset then change in menu to 1 fps overrides.
export to h264 for testing.

Visual C++ libs are not needed, because it is not really compatilbe with many standard C/C++ libraries - we use mingw+Qt. All needed libraries are included in the package. 1.12 and 1.13 also should have the same dependencies. Maybe 1.13 was compiled with a newer Qt, which often has different system requirements than older versions. If you find a system where it works: in menu->help->about Qt, you can see which Qt library was used to build the release.

For getting more information on Windows systems, I think you'll have to install the entire Qt framework and debug with this. macOS brings a very detailed crash report and tells exactly the reason... unfortunately Windows doesn't do this.

@ML700D but.. is this a standart canon preview? what about actual recorded raw footage?

no, that is ML live view, the footages are both same when open in mlvapp and mlv_play afaik.

Edit: you can't see changes to raw type in canon liveview, but it will do show up in ML preview, the slow low resolution preview option available in raw video menu.

I will try ss from mlv_play later.. sorry.

Here are some test 0x10 and 0x12 at ISO 12800

0x10 using binning mode 1x3 looks greenish with striped like horizontal line


0x10 crop_rec OFF ISO 12800


change to 0x12


0x12 ISO 12800


I didn't see any different so far.. except using binning 1x3 with iso 12800 got very dark image

--> Yes, but it is just faster. We internally use 3x16bit color information, but this would finally limit the pipeline to 3x8bit, but consuming the time of the 16bit pipeline for all other algorithms. (256 colors of possible 65536 per channel as result)
