Are old binary builds of experimental versions available anywhere? I can only find the 2021 June 26 and February zip files on bitbucket.

And what version would you recommend for shooting 25fps 720p (or downscaled to 720p), from reading the thread it seems that "anamorphic" 1x3 binning would be the best to avoid moiré and to be able to use regular EF-M lenses, so that means shooting 1728 x 2916, the "5K anamorphic" mode and then downscaling to 1280x720? I'll be filming a music concert (with camera on a tripod) so fast preview isn't necessary. (Actually, I don't really need Raw video either, just want to be able to fix any low light problems in post)

Edit: from what I can see, almost everything has been wiped from bitbucket, not just danne's builds? So ML is pretty much dead now? As the only way to try things out is to build from scratch and apply patches, which is difficult to begin with if you are not the original developer, and most documentation and code hints are gone as well?

Oh you young whippersnappers and your electric restroom wall, of course I haven't!

Guess I'll have to swallow my pride and make an account, thanks for the tip  :)

Thank you, but I did check archive.org before posting, and none of the full resolution images (the useful ones) have been archived, and only very few any of the medium res ones.

I also emailed Scott Torborg, with no response.

New user with a few questions:

  • Scott Torborg used to have an EOS-M teardown gallery at https://www.scotttorborg.com/canon-eos-m-teardown but it is no longer available. Does anybody have the high-res images?

  • Does anybody know if the SD card controller on the EOS-M is a separate chip from the main CPU or MPU? Is the touch screen controller a separate chip? What about other EOS cameras?

  • I've read the EOS cameras can go into thermal shutdown from heavy usage outside the specs, such as shooting raw video with ML and overclocking the SD controller. What chips are getting hot and causing the overheating?

Hi, I'm just another guy who bought a cheap EOS M when they were getting rid of unsold inventory, have used CHDK in the past, have some programming skills and want to get into ML development
