That's a really amazing improvement, Bilal! You've got some real skills, seriously! But... what about us alone and forgotten and sad and abandoned 5d3 users? Is there any hope for us?

:) I'm now in the same boat: could finally get a 5d3 for cheap. After using Magiclantern on my EOS M since a couple of years. I thought I should finally switch to the Rolls-royce of Magiclantern cameras. Haven't tested much yet: but certainly the quality is improoved and Magiclantern seems more responsive. But, I also see now more clearly the biggest benefit of the EOS M: the size and weight compared to the 5d3 is a factor which I greatly underestimated. EOS M is the perfect travel and always with me cam. The 5d3 in comparison is really, really big and heavy. Still I hope now, that also 5d3 will get improovements.

Thank you so much Billal for always pushing Magiclantern to new heights!

Sounds amazing, let's hope there's a way :)
Thanks to everyone involved making the EOS M such a great raw camera!

I just wanted to let you know: I'm still a bit of a believer in the 5k anamorphic 1x3 pixel-binning modes. Almost no additional crop still sounds fantastic (shallow DOF, no need for extreme wide angle lenses, less aliasing).

I had a question about resolution limitations in 5k anamorphic at 12bit: realized that this has been answered on page 170. It is a limitation we can't get around with the recent improvements in SD overclocking. Higher resolutions would lead to an unacceptable amount of corrupt frames. Sad, I was hoping for slight improvements in the anamorphic mode as well...well then, I guess I have to hunt for good wide angle lenses to fight the crop :)

Hi everyone,

I would just quickly like to say hello and thank you to all of you Magic Lantern Developers and Helpers !
It's amazing what all of you have achieved !

A couple of months ago, I decided it was time to upgrade from the Canon G3X to the EOS M50 for travel/hobby photography. I've read about Magic Lantern a long time ago, but never owned a fitting camera. So when I got the M50 I looked up Magic Lantern again and I found that by now ML was able to record RAW video. Not on the M50, but on the original M. Crazy, this is something I wanted to play with since forever (or at least, since I could work on a friends project and saw footage of the original RED 4K camera).

I could never really justify the cost for something like a BMPCC, for just another hobby. So, I went on and purchased my first EOS M, for something like 50 Bucks (it has a little dent in the housing). Since then, my life has changed :) Well, not exactly, but I'm having a really good time and a lot of fun shooting and grading raw video almost everyday.
