Alright, actually what got it to work for me was switching in camera Canon menu FPS to 24.

Actually scratch that last post. It seems like turning off Global Draw in ML is the only way to get smooth video on my external monitor. (Desview brand).

Okay so I figured out three solutions. You can turn off Global Draw altogether, then it records fine with an external monitor. You can also turn off Focus Peaking on the monitor, but leave on global draw. You can also leave on global draw AND focus peaking, as long as focus peaking is set to Low, and not High. Basically focus peaking being set to High seems to have been the problem for me.

I have a Desview external monitor btw. And I'm recording 10 bit 1080p rewire RAW. Hope this helps someone!

Okay the only way I could get it to work well was to switch my in camera FPS to 24. It was on 30 before this. I think that was the problem.

Hi guys! So my EOS M is doing great with 10 bit Raw, unless I record with an external monitor, then this happens (purple artifacting, screen tearing): https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ijDakNgj66t5jPWaaaI2wCg5DEqXyoaF/view?usp=sharing

I tried turning on VGA mode or whatever it's called, no luck. Will try turning off histogram and other overlays, see if that helps.

I get screen tearing purple artifacts (whatever it's called) when I record using a live external monitor: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ijDakNgj66t5jPWaaaI2wCg5DEqXyoaF/view?usp=sharing
