Some tests I did, both are a mix of shots in 5,7 anamorphic and 3k, those were the first 2 times I used my new 5d MKiii (I had experience with Magic Lantern with an EOS M)

This is the extremely low light test (Iso 6400), unfortunatelly I wanted to have it ready as soon as posible, so I think I could have done a better job on Davinci, it was denoised and stabilized afterwards in Topaz video ai

And this is a test with good light (around iso 200), I really like the result on this one, no Topaz video AI on this one

Now I guess I'll have to practice manual focus for moving shots, if this camera had continuous autofocus and in body stabilization like my Panasonic Lumix G80 it would be the perfect camera, still I think it has better image quality than the Lumix

Btw, is there any way that autofocus doesn't increase exposure when focusing?

I did some tests 2 days ago, mcm 1080 14 bit (except for the shot of the big fountain and the one of the white goose), graded in davinci and exported to 4k so youtube doesn't ruin the quality  I know it's not the best, but it's my first try outside home

Sorry, forgot to write it, mode is 5k anamorphic, 10 bit 24fps
I don't seem to get pink frames on 1080p
I'll test with the extreme pro to see how it goes
What does the kill global draw option exactly do?

So, right now what are the advices for not having pink frames? Today I'ven using the eosm with a trascend r95 card and got like 2 or 3 pink frames per minute, can it be most likely the card? Because I have a sandisk extreme pro too, but it's on another camera and would have to do a backup of it to format it and use it with the m

On the latest build is the 10 bit raw mode loseless? I've recorded a 1:43 5k anamorphic clip and it weighted 4gb, so that made me doubt. Thanks for the huge upgrade on this camera!

Hi! I'm looking for a cheap big SD for using with my eos m for recording full conferences or local bands shows. My intention is to use 1080p 24/25fps raw.

I've seen the transcend SDXC/SDHC 300S and the lexar x633 in 512GB model at good prices, but I'm afraid I can't record continuous (specially on the transcend, as I own a 64 gb 500S and it records continuous, but when there's too much light/movement/I don't know it gets orange and then red, once it stopped recording)

Any special reccommendation? Should I buy the 32 GB model (really cheap) and then if it works switch to the 512 one?

General Help Q&A / 2 hours continuous recording?
May 07, 2019, 09:40:16 PM
Hi guys, tomorrow I have to record a meeting in my university and I will need to record for 2 hours on my EOS M, (I don't need too much resolution, so I'm planning on using the max without crop mode 1736x900 or something like that, nearly 1080p) 14 bit loseless raw, do you think it will work?

Well, 4k (uhd) is 2160p, so it gets pretty close, I guess then this is better to use this than using an h264 4k camera (like a lumix) due to the options in post-processing and color, right?

So i've just installed today ml on a eos m (after messing with a 100d), I've been testing it and reading the thread. I've been using it in my room, tomorrow I'll take it to the street with daylight. My question is about the resolution of the 4k and 5k modes, for what I'm reading it records in a resolution lower than 1080p and then it gets upscaled when exported to dng, is it then a fake 4k/5k?

Will that work? It says that's only for eos m

Last build (march 22) seems to have problems with the sd overclock script. Anyone managed to run the 4k and 5k 24fps modes? I was only able to run the 3.5k one

ML can do seamless recording > 29:59 in RAW mode. Only limit: card size, battery and - sometimes - temperature.
Looks like a solution ... but there is a trade off, a serious one: Bandwidth. Uncropped 1728x972 in 24 fps with 14 bit depth will eat up around 67 MByte/s. Needs a fast card and a big one. Do the math ...

I'm fine with big sizes, so, this means there's a way to do a raw recording on 7D without cutting when it reaches 4GB?
