Camera-specific Development / Re: Canon 7D Mark II
September 19, 2015, 07:10:44 PM
I am a new owner of a 7D2. One of my favorite things on the 6D port was the GPS hack. Unfortunately, the 7D2 is plagued by the same issue. If you don't turn it off; it continues sucking juice from the battery.

Focus peaking is another thing I love on the 6D build, and would love to see on the 7D2.

Archived porting threads / Cards for shooting RAW
February 05, 2015, 02:01:04 AM
I have used ML off and on since getting a 6D last summer. I have been using PNY 90MB/s 64GB cards for shooting regular 1080 footage with no problems over the past year. I have mainly used ML for the enhancements to audio and overlays.

I tried shooting RAW a few weeks back, and found I was getting what appears to be buffer errors. The recording stops after just a few seconds.

Is there a list of confirmed cards that handle RAW and the highest setting you can shoot RAW at on the 6D

Thanks!

Is there a way to have the ML menu stay open a little longer? It closes after 2 seconds.

Nice you're participating, but the current problem is not to find people who can try some things, but for devs who can code some things that cannot be copy/pasted from other cameras :-o

I understand fully. If there was a developer closer to Augusta.... would be glad to meet!

No active developers with a 6D in their hands.

I am glad to help; I can shoot video clips and try some things, if that  would be helpful.

Fixed the feature table, but that's pretty much all I can do.

Thanks, whats the difficulty with this camera and monitoring audio via USB?

It's not currently possible in general, but the link near the top, Show new replies to your posts., serves a similar purpose.

Ok, thank you!

I tried the last build from the 15th. Headphones plug in and I still have LCD screen; but no sound coming through headphones. Meters moving with sound... but I hear nothing.

This is still lacking basic sound level adjustments. Can anyone add reports for bugs? Where? Thank you

Sure, one other thing... I am not getting notifications on replies to forum posts on this forum. How do i turn them on?

How can you adjust this?

Duplicate Questions / Re: Multiple card usage

I used MacBoot ver 1.05

Has headphone monitoring been added to the nightly builds?
#14
I just noticed that the 6D lists headphone monitoring under http://builds.magiclantern.fm/#/features

Has this been added recently in the nightly builds? It wasn't working on the last version I tried, a couple weeks ago.

Duplicate Questions / Multiple card usage

Whats the best method to use multiple cards with a ML build on it? Is it just a copy contents to new card? or do you have to go through same process with every card?

Garsh.... that truly is tragic. Just order a 6D...

How can I get involved with ironing out bugs? I'd really like to see headphone monitoring working. Would be glad to pass along observations and notes!

I am using the latest 1% build https://bitbucket.org/OtherOnePercent/tragic-lantern-6d/downloads and have tried most functions out. This build does enable headset monitoring via USB without disabling LC screen.

It doesn't appear that wifi is working on this build though. Need to run a few more tests though.

Any further development on the 6D builds?
#19
Noticed this as well... hoping it is addressed pretty soon.

Read first post of this thread.

Thanks, totally overlooked that. Is audio monitoring via USB working on the 6D?
#21
The current firmware id v.114 on the 6D. Do I need to downgrade to v113 to install nightly build?

Is there a way to use headphones, and plug in usb plug with RCA to 1/8 plug adaptor, without disabling the LCD? I've nay used ML on a T2i.

Thanks!

General Help Q&A / EOS m LCD mirroring?
April 14, 2014, 02:59:47 AM
When using a Lilliput Hd70hp field monitor, the LCD turns off. I can't seem to find any documentation showing if it can remain on to use the touch controls. It is very limited on manual functions on the camera.

I have been research a little, and a little confused on converting raw video. Does it have to be converted frame by frame? or is it a process like mpeg streamclip does?

Thanks.

Hardware and Accessories / Using field monitor on EOS-m
January 25, 2014, 06:05:09 AM
I noticed when I plug in my Lilliput field monitor to my EOS-m, I lose the touchscreen controls. Does Magic Lantern have anything that mirrors the LCD when an HDMI monitor is plugged in?
