Thank you! Yea it's an unbelievable camera, even more so when you consider it's age.

Hi all,

I was recently out in Portugal and my GH6 and GH5 were being used on job, so thought I would dust off the trusty old 5D3 and test out the anamorphic mode from Danne's build. This camera still blows me away! No special edits or order, just clips in the timeline with a bit of music.

Testing how usable the 3.5k model is. Manual focus and waveform used for exposure.

Hi guys,

Episode 3 of my series I am shooting in raw.

Designed for beginners as I wanted to really strip it back to basics.

Would love your opinion https://youtu.be/-MFTg12A_Og

Thanks

For those that are curious, I had decided to record this set-up of myself (Thanks for the tip @BouncyBall) going through varieties of modes while utilizing HDMI output to an external monitor (so you can see what works and what doesn't) as far as 5D3.123 is concerned when it comes to using latest experimental 4K_crop_rec stuff. ;)

Thank you for sharing this is very interesting! I assume that there is no recording?
Also did you test the UHD mode?

If someone worked out how to hack the cf to a ssd this camera would be unstoppable!

Hi,

Video 2 from my filmmaking basics. I decided I needed to go back and relearn the necessary skills to make my videos.

I wanted to grow my YouTube channel so decided to share.

Would love your opinions.

Shot in 1080p raw on the 5d3.

Would love tips specifically on audio and lighting.

Thanks

Rob

Hi guys,

Have just started a series on Youtube teaching filmmaking basics. The idea is that I teach as I learn to hopefully improve my skills and others can benefit.

I shot everything in raw. I know there are some talented people on this forum so was hoping to get your honest opinion of how I can improve it ready for episode 2.

Beautiful, very Watchtower of Turkey style.

I assume that you used a gimbal for the hyperlapses? If so which one?

Some stunning shots!

How long was your record time at those settings? I think I'm right in saying you can drop down to 10 bit lossless but not in other crop modes like 4k etc that's 14bit lossless only?

rudyard kipling short poems

Hi,

I was on a shoot recently shooting in crop mode. 1920/60. 100/1 of a shutter to stop light flicker (i'm in the UK) and various apertures but mainly f2.8.

Part way through the shoot I noticed these horizontal lines on my image. I couldn't find a way around it until I switched to either PAL 50p.

Any ideas? is there a way to remove in post processing?

Thanks
Rob
