Are there any vector-ish OP's on this implementation of ARM that can do shifts on multiple 16-bit integers packed into 64 or 128-bit registers?
As far as i know the Digic 5+ is a modification of this core:

That would be a nice feature.
Beside swapping cards - it would be nice if you can see if you have your 'default' setting or something changed. Sometimes i switch the camera on and take some bracketing shots as that was my last thing i did. So maybe there would be a way to make a 'user default' setting which is used if you turn on the camera? If you want something spezial you have to change the settings.

If  you use the AV-Mode you are limited to 30'.
Use M-Mode an you will get as much time as it takes as the M-Mode is limited to 8h(?)

Most of the time i use AV-Mode and check the time. If the time gets high (>5-10 sec) i will switch to M-Mode and use the settings from AV-Mode as starting point.

Be aware that if you take long exposures (or use high iso) the camera will take a second shot (with closed mirror) to determine the noise (if you have that option aktivated) - this second shot will take exactly the same time (on the 500D it shows busy). So if you take long exposures you will have to wait for the shot itself and than the same time for the 'noise reduction shot' - which make nighttime bracketing a long wait.

I have the same problem. (500D)
Sometimes i can't change anything using the normal camera buttons. The ML menu is working but the srollwheel and the lens rings don#t do anything.
Manual mode or anything like auto doesn#t work.
Looks like all input is blocked besides the ML menu
