You can't turn off audio AGC on the G30? You can on the G10 and the now discontinued M series.

I do agree that any of Canon's CMOS Pro based cameras would be pretty awesome with ML.

Kind of hard to follow all this. From what I think I'm reading, there likely won't be a way to record raw on the Rebel cameras in a resolution much better than SD. While that dynamic range is great, it doesn't look a whole lot better in resolution after it has been upscaled than the H264. Is there likely a way that we will be able to record a better quality 1080p (or close to it) video than what the H264 can do? MJPEG? JPEG sequence?

Perfect, Thanks! Glad to see the T3i now has full audio support.

General Help Q&A / Status of Audio in ML?

Is there a place that I can see the status of ML audio features for the different cameras it is available on? I'm using a T2i with the Rode Videomic Pro at the moment and am very happy with the results I get with the 20db boost on the mic and the camera gain all the way down. I may purchase a second camera in the near future and would like to make sure that the gain from the camera can be completely defeated on whatever model I purchase.

The Canon video cameras have the Semi-Auto mode(Shutter Priority or Aperture Priority) and it is really handy. Another feature that works well along with this is the Auto Gain Limit. It allows you to set how high you will allow the auto gain to go.
