Around March of last year I dusted off my Canon Rebel t2i after finding out about Magic Lantern.  The camera had initially been an impulse buy in 2011 that hadn't seen much use—I was/am very much an amateur. I figured ML would keep me entertained for a month or two before losing interest in my DSLR again. However, it quickly grew on me and became my main hobby thanks to all of ML's features. So, wanting to share my work and with so much amazing "traditional" content already out there, I felt the need to do something "different" in order to justify sharing it with others.

Here are a few videos in chronological order of the progress I've made:

March. My first attempt at a time lapse using ML's intervalometer. I hadn't quite figured out the optimal settings as you can see from the flickering.

April. Much smoother but still kinda run-of-the-mill as far as time lapse's go.

June. Several "normal" time lapse's later I introduce motion into my time lapses.

July. I start taking time lapses at local shows and start experimenting with editing.

September. I start shooting primarily video after discovering FPS override and adopt a much more a surreal approach to my post-editing.

November. "Friendsgiving"; I become a bit obsessed with FPS Override's high jello functional.

December.  My friends, digging the trippy aspect of my filming and editing, ask me to help make a music video. This was released a couple weeks ago but I shot/edited much of the footage around this time.

January. Expanding on my love for FPS override, I start taking time lapse's of my drives.

February-ish. Magic Lantern's technical features also helped a lot with learning how to frame things and how to take photographs overall. I also had become obsessed with making looped content by this point.

March. I take time lapse footage made with ML and expand on them inside of video editing software, leading to even more surreal results.

Last week. I pretty much combined everything I've learned along the way in making this.

All of these examples were filmed/shot using my t2i which finally gave out last week  :'(

I haven't stuck with a hobby for quite as long as with this and I am very happy that I have, largely thanks to Magic Lantern. I recognize that my more recent edits are still very rough looking and there is much room for improvement. I hope to keep on refining my skills and experimenting with ML.  I was even thinking of going outside of Canon for my next DSLR but ultimately decided I'd miss too many of ML's features and went with the 70D. So thank you devs, you rock!

Have you considered reintroducing fps override in future releases, albeit with a hard limit placed on the possible max FPS? Someone correct me if I'm wrong here but, from what I've gathered from reading through some of the pages in this thread, the feature was removed because of a noticeable dip in quality when set to anything higher than 24 fps. I understand the reasoning behind that but some users—such as myself—may use it primarily to shoot time lapse footage. In my case the quality is not so important as I usually turn it to weird, experimental-type footage. I know people traditionally use the intervalometer for time lapses but the result isn't quite as smooth as when done with video, especially when there is a lot of movement in the time lapse. It's kinda hard to explain in words so here's an example of what I mean: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x1_xBuAQGfY

Anyways, it's not a huge deal as I'm using the last alpha build at the moment that has it enabled but it would be nice to stay up-to-date with other fixes implemented in future updates.
