What's the timeline aspect ratio? Premier will scale the smaller clips to match the timeline, but I believe it will keep the clips aspect ratio the same. So if your clip is 2.35:1 and you use "scale to frame size"in a 16:9 timeline the clip won't fill the frame.

I'm assuming the clips are filling the frame horizontally after scale to fit is clicked, correct?

Nice work man. I've actually been thinking about doing something kind of similar, but using the video frames to make photos. Only thing I didn't really like was the font and color on the titles. Not sure about your workflow, but you probably could have gotten by with just ae or premiere

That was really nice to watch. I feel like overall it was a little dark, but the colors were pretty nice. Care to share some of your grading process? Favorite shot at 0:26 beautiful

Anyone who could help is probably going to need more info. What camera? What settings? What ML build? What post tools?

Wow awesome! Thanks

Simultaneous h.264?? Meaning we are able to record raw and h264 simultaneously?? Where was this discussed, and how did I miss it?????

Cool man! Thanks for the link

Nice work. most impressive is the fact that it's a single long take. You did a good job making transitions without cuts

Very nice!

One thing though, I was all set and ready to rave about how much I loved the color, but then I remembered I'm watching from my iPhone, and night shift was turned on so I turned it off and watched again. Sad to say, I didn't love the color :\ it still looks really nice, I just think it looked way better with the added warmth. What LUT did you use?

As am I. 50p and 60p at 1920 pixels wide is definitely possible with the 5D Mark III; I've been doing it for more than two and a half years.

Care to share your settings, and how long you're able to record?

Such a pretty bird! And super detail. Thanks for sharing.

What's happening with the head movement? Did you slow the footage down in post or something?

Wow I didn't know the Ronin had Magic Lantern, Have you got RAW mode working yet?

I'm pretty sure "general chat" would include gear talk, right? Don't be an ass.

Thanks for kindly pointing this guy in the right direction. I'm wondering if his issue got resolved though, because he hasn't responded here  >:(

Make sure they did not get turned off in the DJI assistant app. I don't know where exactly the setting is, but I found briefcase mode disabled on mine once

Nice color. How'd you grade?

How exactly did you reach this conclusion?
Just an off-cuff half recollection. I know I've seen the option, but I'm assuming I'm wrong in thinking it was in the canon menu. Guess I should've been more clear, or not commented till I was sure  :-X

That's a good idea - not sure where to find that setting. Would it be in the Canon menu, the Magic Lantern Menu, or in the monitor menu?

Pretty sure it's in the canon menu

Thanks!

Very nice! Please tell me how you did the transition at 26-27sec! I've been trying to figure that crap out for months

If you are talking about vertical stripes, then you may want to know the effect is more obvious at lower ISOs. At higher ISOs, the pixel noise becomes greater than the column amplification differences, so the noise will effectively hide this artifact.

I'm not aware of this setting causing any difference in video mode. Maybe it affects the amount of free memory on some models?

You may want to mention the source of this recommendation, and maybe ask the author what difference it makes.

Thanks that answers everything. I actually wasn't aware that the stripes were more of an issue at lower ISOs (I've only noticed them when I crank the ISO, but I haven't done any kind of real testing)

I don't remember where I read about disabling it, but I think it was in the crop 2.5k 50fps thread. Could very likely just be misinformation on my part though. I'll look into it

Maybe this is stupid, and a little late as the conversation has moved on,, but could high ISO noise reduction be a factor here?
I know it's recommended to turn it off, but I don't know why. Even if it absolutely is not a factor, could someone take a moment to explain why we turn it off?

I have also had issues when trying to format a card to exfat on El Capitan. Same as mentioned: format card in disk utility, insert in camera, get "card 1 can not be read".

I was able to then format the card in camera, but I don't think the exfat stuck (didn't test), but I did have an h264 file split because "file over 4gb" so I assume it did not.

I'm pretty sure El Capitan disk utility is just broken because my Mac does not recognize the card properly after attempted exfat format.

Try formatting the card via terminal. I'm not sure if you can do such a thing, but I don't see why not. Just do a search and you should find out how if possible

Best "motivational" phrase.

Haha Sorry I guess I should've been more clear. I'm getting email notifications every time a post is made here because I "watched" the thread at some point, and I can't figure out how to undo that.
