I'm relatively new to ML so forgive me if this has all been discussed before.

I have final cut 10.0.9

I have my 5D MIII set up for recording .MLV

I have a few recorded files on my computer ready to play with.

What is the recommended procedure from here to get these files as high quality as possible and useable in Final Cut 10.0.9?

I read on a few of the forums to use badlands MLRawViewer and convert to .MOVs (prores4444 I believe?) but I get purple bit-like washed footage when I do that.
I also read to convert them to .dngs using the same MLRawViewer program, then import the pictures and convert them into a compound clip?

I am getting a bit lost in the forums trying to find the workflow I need for Final Cut 10....

Awesome thanks!

So is there any reason one would choose 1.1.3 over 1.2.3 now?

I see it's still recommended when you choose to download 1.2.3

I might be misunderstanding what Alex originally posted but is bootflag solved for 1.2.3 AND 1.1.3? Or just 1.2.3?

Okay thanks that's definitely good to know. And the Lexar 128gb 1066x?? Any good? Is the komputerbay better?

Hey guys, I'm new to RAW video too and have a couple questions. I'm about to buy a CF card for my 5D3 and need some guidance

Looking through the forums I see a lot info and would like some clairification

1) Is komputerbay 64gb 1066x the best card for raw out there?

2) Is the Lexar 64gb 1066x the same performance? (More stable, I think I read?)

3) How come no one talked about the Lexar 128gb 1066x, is it no good for RAW? Can the 5DM3 use a 128gb?

4) last question, I see the Lexar 64 and 128gb at 3400x on Amazon.ca but haven't seen anything about them in the forums? Won't those be the best?

I understand these are very noob questions but I'm having trouble finding those specific answers in the forums

Appreciate the help thanks!

So a few notes to help everyone understand what is happening.

I think I am supposed to have the option to change the mode dial after the Firmware installer runs with ML on it to disable the boot flag. That is not happening, it just runs the firmware update to 1.0.1 again then says "Enable boot disk      :)"

So did the version of ML for 101 not come with an uninstall procedure?

Do I have to update to 104 to get the uninstall set up to work properly? If that's the case do I have to update the canon Firmware to 1.0.4?

Hey guys,

I am trying to remove or update Magic Lantern on my Canon t4i. Niether are working.

My t4i firmware is version 1.0.1, and I'm not sure which (alpha, beta, etc) version of ML is on it. but the main screen says "v2.3.NEXT.2013Jul19.650101".

I really want to remove ML from this camera (I am going to sell it) but when I follow the procedure from ML Wiki:

"Uninstalling ML from the camera

With a Magic Lantern card, launch the Firmware Update process and follow the instructions on-screen."

I launch the Firmware update process but there is no on-screen instructions... it just reboots and flickers a bunch of stuff. Then I press the trash can and it doesn't start ML, but then I turn it off and back on again and it works normally again.

Please help!
