This is my first go at using the Magic Lantern hack for a Canon. ML has taught me I overshoot a location thus I feel its a great tool to limit yourself, especially when you only get around 3-4 minutes RAW recording time on a 32GB card. Though the beautiful footage is so worth it after the hours of exporting DNGs to TIFF and then .mov making with Quicktime Pro.

Because I couldn't find somebody to fit the overall theme I wanted, I ended up using myself but with the downside of having to teach a friend how to control focus etc in the space of minutes, the title speaks for itself.

Camera & Lenses: Canon 5D MKII 50MM 1.2 AND 85MM 1.2
Flycam 3000 (annoyingly I need to learn how to control focus better with this)
Filmed in Margate, Kent and Richmond Park, London.

The only advantage of the Oct 24th build from 2 years ago, is the 1880..

You will be missing out on 2 years of development.. Are 24 pixels worth it?

Yeah I kind of see the point, especially when those 24 pixels can be scaled.

@NKYCLDN , You need to use the Original .raw format and go back to a early build for 1880.
Read this post I wrote, it has the link to Oct /2013 .raw build before MLV came in to being.

In fact I still use this build from time to time on my 5D2.
Hope that helps  :D

Would you recommend I go back to this build or stay at the current?

General Help Q&A / 1880x800 1.35

Hi guys, I've been searching around for the ideal resolution to shoot ML with on a 5DMK2 but I cannot seem to find the 1.35 aspect ratio or even 1880x800 resolution, would anyone have any suggestion as to what I may have forgotten to do or need to turn on to achieve this? I'm using the current magiclantern-Nightly.2015Feb18.5D2212 build

General Help Q&A / Canon 5d MK2 Pink Images?

Hey, I'm fairly new to ML at the moment so please forgive my newbie-ness, I'm trying to convert a raw film to DNGs but I seem to always be getting these pink overlay tones on my DNGs. I'm using RawMagic with my processing but I can't seem to find a solution anywhere online..
