I was not on auto white balance. I had it set to a manual Kelvin temp.

Here's a video I put together that was shot on my 6D back in August.

The time-lapse of the stars at the end took some time, and I'm not sure what was going on. Perhaps someone here can help with that? I had the settings on manual and didn't touch them as the camera worked, yet every frame was a different color. Here's what I originally had before I went through and individually edited the photos...

I did recently shoot another few time-lapses with updated ML firmware, and I didn't get that effect again, so I could have been something with that particular nightly build I was running.

Awesome job! There's a ton of color in Tokyo, and you captured it very well.

If your second card is clear of ML, your camera should boot up with the normal canon functions. I'm not sure why it's not for you. I still have a July build, so I'm I'm not sure what could be going on in the latest builds. Did you try re-installing ML?

I agree with Scott Free that it is a personal aesthetic preference, and I do like the grain, but like I said, it was just too much for my taste. I also love the quality. It's impressive that it scaled up that well.

As for adding grain, do it after you reduce the noise, otherwise the noise reduction will reduce the grain as well...unless you're going for some sort of effect (I'm not sure what that would really do other than soften the image).

Much thanks to everyone contributing to the nightly builds. Lots of DL but I seldom see a thank here from 6D users.

I definitely want to 2nd this. Thank you to all the devs, and users for the support! It's good to see things back up and running for the 6D.

Yeah, It's a bit too grainy for my taste. Otherwise, everything looks great!

@Nad
You don't need to go back to 1.1.2, just get 1.1.3 and then you should be good.

Thank you. I will have to play around with that.

You can press the magnifying glass button on you camera to zoom in, in live view(and then start recording raw video), although framing is not correct, live view shows 5x zoom or 10x zoom image.
The resulting video will be about 3x zoom...

My weapon against most aliasing is developing the raw dng's in RawTherapee (http://www.rawtherapee.com)
In RawTherapee you can choose different demosaicing options, "lmmse" and "amaze" both do a good job of getting rid of most aliasing.

Do you have a specific workflow to get through in RawTherapee? What format you you output to from RT?

That was good. Makes me think of the days when I used to ride...though I was never near that level.

What were some of your settings at if you don't mind me asking?

I have had a 6D for almost a year now, and recently I've been playing with Magic Lantern. I took my camera and slider with me on a backpacking trip shot shot a bunch so I could get into the full workflow of everything and came out with this -
-
I was shooting at a few different resolutions, all at 2:1, so I could see what would record the smoothest at a decent size. I also got a few hdr shots as well. I still have some things to perfect, but overall I am loving it. I am hoping that a playback module will be implemented soon.
Let me know what you guys think!

Hello all,
My name is Philip. I live in Mesa, Arizona. I have been watching and playing with magic lantern for quite some time. I had an old version installed on my old Rebel Xti years ago. I have recently been playing around with it on my 6D.
Anyway, just stopping in here to say hi!
