So you got an error, the h264 didn't start recording?

I would be so glad if I could help with programming, but I only know HTML and PHP. :(

Wow, recording h264 and raw IN CAMERA would be totally awesome! If that's possible an external recorder isn't even needed anymore for video playback! :D

and if you want it the burden is on the interested parties.
I'm sorry but I don't understand what you mean by this. :)

Don't you have full HD output through the HDMI while recording raw with 5d3 1.2.3?
Yes but no rec command, whitch would come in very handy with many clips.

Any progress with the rec command? :)

Are you sure? It would be great though, the rec command in combination with raw video. :P

Raw Video / Atomos Ninja 2 for RAW playback
June 06, 2014, 10:01:15 AM
Hello,

I would like to playback my recorded video on shoots, so I wonder if I can buy a Ninja and record the scene externally while my 5d mark III records the RAW footage internally.

Furthermore I wonder if I can still use the rec command whith the Magic Lantern raw firmware so it records automaticly on the 5d and I don't need to push record on the 5d and the Ninja.

Thank you so much!

I have got a pretty old nightly built of magic lantern with raw recording on my 5d mark iii, should I upgrade it? And is the external monitor bug fixed? I couldn't film with an external monitor when recording raw.

I saw this on the website with the feautures:
"Record 14-bit uncompressed RAW video to your CF/SD card."

A while ago this wasn't availible at the website, only on nightly builts. Is it in the normal version now?

And I read something about a new file type, is post production more easy now (whithouth all the conversions)?

Thank you!
