No, overwriting ML directory will not reset customized settings. Delete ML directory first.

I deleted ML File on the SD card, the installed the new one
I restored ML default in Prefs / Config files Menu
rebooted
then loaded MLV_play MLV_rec MLV_sound modules
recorded in MLV mode.
same results if I press SET button. Screen freeze. Impossible to turn off the camera.

and the model in 5D3, sorry....

which model?
did you try reset ML settings to default? (backup your ML.cfg before so we can reproduce)

I had just downloaded the last nighty built and replaced all the files on the SD card. So i presume the settings wad to default.

seems to work fine.
just shooted a 4min30sec with mlv_rec. No problem.

i noticed that when i press the SET button when shooting video (mlv or raw_rec) it freeze the screen; then i am not able to turn off the camera; Is it a known issue ?

ETTR on the histogram. cDNG imported in Resolve.
Blackmagic design colorspace - 2 EV Exposure.

exported from FCPX in 422HQ

First thing : thank you very much ML team for your awesome work.

This video test has no artistic pretentiousness, just technical claim.
This is my second shot with ML installed on my 5dIII . I ve no experience in video.
Shooted outdoor at home. Lot of wind yesterday in Paris.... 

Here is the workflow on iMAC  i used for this video :

RAW > RAWmagic > cDNG > Resolve 10 lite > BMD colorspace + Hunters 5D LUT + just a little bit of corrrection in Curves and Primaries >  422H proxies > trimed in FCPX > Master export.

No Filter used. No noise reduction.

5DIII and Tamron 24-70 mm, 23,98 fps  1080p  2,35 :1

I used ETTR on each shot. Shutter limit at 1/44 in ETTR module.  So every shot was at 1/50 when ETTR was settled. Very helpful !!!  Black is black and no noise or flickering in the black when lifting in Davinci. Thanks again ML TEAM !!

i use the same workflow than you but in 24 fps

I guess you used cinestyle image style for the shots

do you use a specific Lut in Resolve ?
Ha ve you used Neutral Density filters for this clip?

in the description of your workflow you say LR. Is it LightRoom ? do you develop all your raws before Resolve ?
