I'm looking into either buying or making a camera cage. I want it to be more to protective of the camera than to mount tons of things onto it. To give you a size reference; I have a canon t3i with a battery grip and I will most commonly be using my Tokina 12-24, and a shotgun style mic that would either need to fit inside the cage or be mounted on the top.  Any info/experience you have would be really appreciated!
