I have a similar problem to limey on post 502.  Installed on Windows 7 64bit, running Lightroom 5.7, installed into plugins folder, plugin shows enabled and running (green dot showing), but no rightclick menu option nor export menu option showing.

I had initially installed the plugin from another folder, I was in a rush and put it in the wrong folder, and now for the life of me cannot remember which folder I had put it in, so limey's solution does not work for me.  Any suggestions ...?!

Thanks in advance for you help.

Windows Explorer does have a useful search function that should help you find the folder.

Please use EOS Utility to downgrade...

It's rather simple if follow instructions properly.

Please read this thread

Good luck!

Changes Firmware Version 1.3.3 incorporates the following improvement and fix. 1. Improves the AF controllability when shooting in Live View mode with a wide-angle lens (fixed focal length or zoom). 2. Corrects some incorrect indications on the "English" and "Russian" menu screens. Firmware Version 1.3.3 is for cameras with Firmware Version 1.2.3 or earlier. If your camera's firmware is already Version 1.3.3, it is not necessary to update the firmware. When updating the firmware of your camera, please first review the instructions thoroughly before downloading. Note: Once the EOS 5D Mark III camera is updated to Version 1.3.3, it cannot be restored to a previous firmware version (Version 1.0.7 through 1.2.3).

You already get it, to a small extent, with lens profiles (for in camera jpeg rendering)  for Canon cameras, so it wouldn't be that big a leap.

how can I do it in the camera?
I tried  format card only in computer as exFAT - it doesn't help.
RAW ml video - has this problem
RAW video - works ok
I'm guessing that this isn't a 5D3 problem, ie camera specific, but has more to do with mlv, so have a look at the appropriate part of the forum, read the FAQ, use search to see if anybody has run into this and if you can't find your answer, THEN ask in the relevant place. Doing so will help to keep the mods in good humour. :)

Canon have made it clear that they do not want people modifying the firmware of their EOS1D series cameras, so if you to run Magic Lantern, you'll have to slum it and get a cheaper camera. :)

Further to this, see:

Can I use this firmware in Canon 1D Mark IV for recording RAW video?
And please make firmware for Canon 1DMIV  :(

No.

If you're going to put Magic Lantern 5D3.123 on your camera, it needs to be running Canon firmware version 1.2.3.

Your camera has Canon firmware 1.1.2, so you need to download the appropriate version from your local Canon website.  If you're in the US, for instance, you would go to:

http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/consumer/products/cameras/slr_cameras/eos_5d_mark_iii#DriversAndSoftware

Look for "Firmware" and you will find Canon's firmware update. It comes in OSX and Windows flavours, pick the appropriate one for you. Follow the instructions from Canon (included in the download) to update the firmware to 1.2.3.

THEN format your SD card in camera, then put it into your computer's card reader, extract the Magic Lantern files to the card, put it back in the camera, then update the firmware to include Magic Lantern.

I'll update the branch as soon as I'll finish tweaking the fullres silent pictures.

Currently having some network problems, so I'm mostly offline these days.

Thanks for the info. I realise you have a lot of things to do, I was just a little concerned that the branch had become a victim of some Worthless complications, so it's a relief to know that that is not the case.

Is the embargo on updates to the 1,2.3 branch continuing? I know a1ex said there would be no new updates whilst this thread was locked...

I have 5d II,and i am testing Magic Lantern for days.It is really awesome thing.I am playing with raw video, and also trying to see if larger bitrate set on ML can impreove video.Right now i can set it max to 1.6x,anything above stops my video. In help it says to torn off sound recording to get bigger bitrate.I record it with zoomH4 anyways so i don't need sound from camera. My question is how to turn it off?If it is important i use Lexar 1000x 64Gb card

Thanks
The folks who can help with this are probably looking at the Raw Video part of the forum. ;)

no changelog since 2014-09-11 what does it mean?
That the last build available was on that day, there have been no changes to Magic Lantern, for your camera, since then. Patience...

You need to delete the first "s" from the web address when embedding YouTube videos, ie http:// not https://

Hope that helps. Sorry, I've not been able to watch your time-lapse, I got a player error.

2. Discouraging non cross platform code for open source apps, you know the ones, "I made this app", (even though I ignored perfectly good ones already out there), "it's for" (insert OS of choice) "and just needs this" (insert bullshit runtime environment) "to work".

Somebody may have a bright idea for a useful app and have the knowledge to implement it on one platform.  If it's good enough, then the idea will be picked up and ported to other platforms.  If not, it will fall by the wayside.  There's no need to unnecessarily stifle creativity.

I don't know if this is possible, but if not, it sounds like a Feature Request. ;)

What brand was the CF card? Do a search with your preferred search engine for "corrupted "brand" CF card", you may find that the manufacturer has a utility program that *may* help.

I've previously proposed a 3 day wait after account creation before being able to post.  With a nice welcome message containing the FAQ etc.

Or maybe it was a 3 week wait :P
As a noob who has spent a fair bit of time looking through the forum and reading, I have to say that I would have welcomed such a message (containing FAQ, etc.)... I think I now know where most of the pertinent info for my uses are!  ;D

PaulB - are you using DPP to only perform lens corrections and then exporting the CR2 to another editor? If so, I believe you can still do that, then export as a CR2 from DPP and then pass the file(s) over cr2hdr and then work with the DNGs...
