I do it in Resolve too. Import the video by clicking create bins. This will create a folder for each video. Then you have to right click on each folder and select "sync audio" (or ....something). This will also take a bit of time but it works. You can even try to import all the video in the same master folder and then do the right click... it works if they are not too many, but with 500 clips i'm pretty sure there will be some mess in there..

I have not apply any sharpening up to this point, I would do that after noise reduction. At least this is what I have read so far in tutorials. But I am not a pro so please if you have some link to other tutorials that say otherwise, feel free to share them.

By the way, in this new 1.2.3 I get a lot of fail notification on the camera screen using MLV. It is not skipping frame or the recording would stop by the settings. Nothing that I can notice when I actually watch the clips, apart from other notifications when I convert the MLV to dng in mac, saying unknown block, skipping block.... The exact message on the camera screen is: FAILED queue: (number)failed: (number) required.

I am considering to buy neat video and I think I am going to buy the premiere version. Here is my workflow: MLV to dng/ import into davinci resolve /export proxies / open proxies into premiere, cut and edit/ export edited premiere timeline to xml/ import xml to davinci (unchecking automatic import file) / color correction in davinci / export high quality individual clips/ open premiere proxies project and replace proxies with high quality/ final editing.. titles, apply some effects , fades ... At this last stage I would do the noise reduction in premiere. The reason why I do this last step, instead of exporting the final video in resolve, is that I prefer the options that you have in premiere for exporting to h264 for the web, plus effects that I like more in premiere, warp stabilizer for instance.  Hope it helped and sorry for my bad English.

In resolve, once you have dragged all the dngs and wav files into the media pool, right click the root and right click auto sync based on time code. in edit choose new timeline unselect create empty timeline. all dngs will be linked and trimmed. Though in cases of longer clips, the wav seemed to show no waveform halfway, I manually linked those problematic clips only.
Thank you so much

i will tell you the best way to deal with so many clips if you are using windows. simply convert to cdng using raw2cdng and import all those clips in premiere pro and wala..all your audio and video clips are in sync. u neednt do any manual sync
Wow thank you so much!

All mine are that way too, yet they are in sync nonetheless.
OK thanks. They are in sync actually. I just have to trim off the audio track so that it matches to the video. Has anyone found a quick way of doing this when you work with many clips?

I'm using Feb08 and it works fine
Sorry I didn't specify that goes for the 5d3

I noticed these weird frames after updating the build. I'm using Feb08 and it works fine, no colored frames. When I try to update I get at least one or two, after one minute of mlv video. (it doesn't happen with .raw). I have to test more the latest builds trying to disable some feature and find out which one is causing the problem

No preview on the mac? yes there is one, is Davinci lite (free).

I just realized that previewing a dng file is not the same as previewing a .mlv. I still have to convert to dng first so.. I take that back.. But still please a hint for the sync

My first post here... First of all thank you guy for the amazing work. Actually I love .mlv on Mac. Workflow isn't difficult at all. I created an automator workflow using the dump and command.. one click and I have my dng and wav. No preview on the mac? yes there is one, is Davinci lite (free). It can play in real time (almost) 22fps the dng files. However there is one thing that I'm struggling with and I would really appreciate some hints here. The audio track is slightly longer than the video track. Am I doing something wrong? I use the same fps settings in davinci as the clip. Thank you in advance
