I am a newbie with my 7D and ML and have tried to go through the process of first time install on card..but as all newbies...failed...... 
Installation
1) Update camera firmware to 2.0.3 - Yes " Canons own Version "
2) Format your CF card from the camera - Yes
3) Extract contents of ML .zip into your card's root folder - Yes " magiclantern_7D_203_Alpha2 "
4) Upgrade firmware - yes from downloaded firmware for 7D out of ML 7D zip.
5) Used EOScard1.40 as well.
But does not have a autoexe file for booting...
anybody got any ideas....as i have rechecked forum...and im still not certain..
I am most likely using the incorrect download file and wrong install method...
