So..   another call for 30D.

I'm a hardware R&D engineer, used to writing low level firmware and developing hardware from digits to analgue to RF to microwave..  I work in ASIC semiconductor development.

I would be happy to help on any development, beta testing etc, but I'm not an out and out 'softie'.

Thanks..   I found the FAQ and went through all of it, but missed the link to the user guide... anyway yes there it is.

I have a 30D..  I know this isn't officially supported and doesn't do liveview..  I see if I can find any evidence of success with a 30D.

I'm looking into the possiblity of using the auto-focus in 'manual mode' as a fire option..   I believe some wildlife photographers do this (though not necessarily with canons)..  i.e. focus where you want to capture an animal, leave setup, animal passes through desired point, AF says 'focussed' and fires the camera.

Any chance of doing anything like this with ML?
