g3gg0, I've PM-ed you. did you receive the message?

Question to moderators: why my post must be approved by a moderator? This does not happen before...Thank you!

Ciao Casanova!
Thanks, I've joined the group! :)

So, for now, with Marvell chip, we have about 85-90MB/s write speed, pretty disappointing... The main problem is the adapter is not seen by the cam, like it happened to other guys on this thread. The solution is to go FPGA way to emulate a CF or software way...for now I'm waiting an answer from g3gg0 for 2 days. I'm sure he have personal life so ...patience.

Going FPGA way may be time consuming so the cost may go high. The time is the key factor in this era, cams that uses CF become less, CFast will dominate, so the need for this adapter may disappear...

Non e' necessario!  :) Ha spedito oggi l'unita a me.  ;) Quando arriva faccio subito i test di velocita'!  ;D

It's not necessary!  :) He shipped the unit to me.  ;) Once here will do speed test!  ;D

Well, my friend, who is building the prototype, is in Japan, I'm in Italy. He does not have an USB3.0 card reader and ssd. Tomorrow he will ship the unit to me and I'll make all testing and after will try it with my 5dmk3. I think next weekend I'll have some news.

Question to moderators: why my post must be approved by a moderator? This does not happen before...Thank you!

Yes, ridiculous speed on usb2.0 CF card reader and normal hdd, but be patient! As you we too are anxious to see it working on usb3.0 and ssd!  :D

Off topic on:
QuoteWith the limited due respect for such a question: what do you think?
I see no respect at all! AND you don't answer! Are you here to laugh at people? I hope not!
Do you really think I was waiting for this kind of answer? You really want to know what I'm thinking? I'm thinking you are impolite on a forum!
Have a nice day!!!
Off topic: off.

Tragic Lantern / Re: Tragic Lantern for 6D
January 11, 2014, 01:21:57 AM
Hi guys! Here I am...again. :)
Would like to report some minor bugs refering to last build Tragic.2014Jan03.6D113. So what am I doing?
I'm hit rec with default settings until my 16gb sandisk became full (for 6 times) and:
-I was sure the 29:59min limit was bypassed ( I was forget to enable MovieRestart, may be it'll help...Yes, it helps, anyway there is a 2 frames audio drop only at 29:59)

-when I put in Encoder menu Bitrate=35, InitQP=1 and ConfigSelect=VBR the indication of bitrate (A=~130, B=~130) is right only for, I think, for the first 4GB file...the indication of A on others files it's...like a countdown, from something like 98 to something like 38 on my 16GB card, and B is always=0...same thing is with default settings: indication on first 4GB file is ok, on others it is not...may be I miss something...
-*.dat file problem when the card became full...it's happen again...only once but...
Great work guys!!!

Hi 1%!
Can I report 2 maybe bugs here?
So, the first is: when I enable LV Digic peaking it's working only before Rec button is hitted, once I hit Rec button this function is disabled...is it normal?
The second: it is known that first second is louder in some canon models, but I have for firsts 3-4 frame a noise peak in left channel (right channel is just louder for the same period) in all clips, and in some clips I have another noise peak at 18-20th sec... Do you think it will possible to find the problem? Sometimes I do interviews and record audio in cam, don't wont to use mixers and external recorders, and I need clean audio...

Another audio "thing" is that even using it in manual, not auto, audio waveform is not uniform:

Using Magic Lantern v2.3.NEXT.2013Oct05.6D113 (unified) . Sorry for my english, just learning!
Thanks!!!

OK! All tis time I was looking for a solution, so if someone need it here is it:

http://fpvlab.com/forums/showthread.php?8654-How-to-repair-corrupted-MP4-files-from-a-GoPro.....for-free!

1% I'll take a look at H264VideoESViewer_Trial but until I have some news!

http://aeroquartet.com/ is a Movie Repair Service and they have an utility: Treasured.app that allows you to see if
the video can be recovered! Look inside this app (show package contents) it uses some intresting utility!

So:
it opens dat file but has a strange color shift:

Ok, now, after I did a roughly copy/paste of initial data (header?) in hexedit my dat file looks like:

Ok, now I know that video is there, must find a way to recover it!
Aeroquartet is not an option, the price for repair a clip is 139$, I can not afford it!

Quicktime player can open it but the image is black! So there is some other things to do...

I have AtomBox Studio and Media Muxer an no Save option...  :-\
Ok, I'll waiting your fresh install...
Thanks!

General Help Q&A / Re: CF card reduced size...
October 14, 2013, 12:34:58 AM
Thanks Jordy for your answer!
So:
First Aid-all buttons are grayed out
Erase options stops at half operation (half blu bar)
Partition option same thing, stops at half operation (half blu bar)

I think I need some low level partition/format utility, do you know any?

General Help Q&A / CF card reduced size...
October 11, 2013, 01:12:23 AM
Hy guys, hope it's right section!
Have another problem:
Shoot some intervies with 5d2 an a lexar 8GB 600x card, put the CF to card reder to copy all
material, but at half of copiing Finder shows Err -36 and now CF show only 32MB!
Did not find yet an utility capable to restore original size, in this way maybe with some data
recovery program I'll recover some stuff...
Any idea? Tip?
Thanks!
#20
Hi 1%! Any prgress?
May be I can help you? I have jongbel vor another 4-5 days, it can open this files but there are no atoms!
And I dont see how can I resave the file!
#22
A curios thing:
after minimizing Premiere it shows me in preview another picture:

but exporting some seconds gives me same black picture with some pixels/squers on top of the picture...
#23
I did a rude/rough test:
opened in hexedit my dat file an a good mov file and did a copy of "good" data to dat file, now I can import it to premiere but don't have entire image, look here:

Oh, I remember, the last frames were black!
#24
You need a dat file? I did another test with magiclantern-v2.3.NEXT.2013Oct07.6D113 and i have a
101MB dat file. I can uploud it but maybe it is easier if you do same rec test:
left on car 4.3GB and push rec button, so you'll have a 4.26GB mov and a little dat file!
#25
Little problem on doom9 forum:
You are not allowed to post or reply until you have been registered for at least 5 days.  :-\
I must finish this interviews until tomorrow evening...  :-[

Ok, your [6D] 2013-10-05 version is ok, create 2 files, and the last one is a *.mov!  :D And audio
now is embedded, cool!
