If you enter the submenu of RAW recording module, you'll find your answer to the problem under 'Preview'. If you use the ML Greyscale preview, it will literally tell you that even though it looks ugly, at least the framing is correct.

RAW -> Preview -> ML Preview.

Thank you for your answer... but.. it still doesn't work.
Anyhow I have figured out how to fix this by going into menu Prefs> Focus box settings > Snap points > Center to x5 RAW

but I still have some question in mind.. may be ask later... thank you again...

I have been using ML on 5d2 for a while and have problem when recording in crop mode... the shots always come out not quite correct position (the subject always be on the right instead of being center)as seen in the camera's monitor  But anyway it seem a little bit ... not too much.

But now... when I started shoot on 5d3 with ML latest Nightly build.... it seem the problem still occur..
when I shot in crop mode .... after processing the subject will go to the right ...(when seen in camera's monitor , I made the subject at the center)and this time the position are much different.

I don't know how to fix this...    I had checked whether the zoom rectangle is already positioned in the center.

THAT is what is called color aliasing and moire. It is there due to line skipping of the sensor and is present even in h264.
Video mode involves line skipping/photo mode does not.
Its in all canon dslrs except the mkIII which have minimal moire due to a more aggressive OLPF. BUT h264 is somewhat soft.

Its more obvious now due to raw and the only way to minimize it is via mosaic VAF filter.

You will find it very minimal to almost non in crop mode since its a 1:1 pixel recording from the sensor and no line skipping.

The mkIII does not have this problem so much.

What's happen to this?
Look like ML on 5Dll cannot render  correct pixels when shooting at pattern things like buildings' windows or floors.
I used October 4th build and 32GB Sandisk CF Extreme Pro 1067X (up to 160MB/S read 150MB/S write)
Is this ML limitation of 5Dll ? or I have to change to other builds?
Or I have to upgrade to 5Dlll?

Apart from the 3X Video Raw crop recording that already functioning on 5D2, there should be more options like 1.5X 2X 2.5X....
If this possible ... I can foresee video men like me can save a lot money buying lens.

May be I will require just only 3lens, 24mm.F2.8 100mm.F2.8 and 400mm.F5.6 and going around making my movies.

Becuase I can Crop recording the 24mm. lens to 1.5X that equal to 36mm. or 2X crop recording to make 48mm. equivalent lens. or 2.5X to be a 60mm. equivalent lens or 3X to become 72mm. equivalent.


But ... I afraid the lens manufacturers may not like this  kind of idea??

How do you guys manage to format the card while still preserve the ML?
I used to do on 5d mark ll. but on 5d mark lll , seem like there are no such option.

I have donwloaded the DaVinci Resolve Lite 9.1.6 and don't know how to work thing out?
I try to find 9.1.5 ver. but there is none on their website (http://www.blackmagicdesign.com/).
