In some other thread i posted similar idea - to train neural network with pairs of aliased and normal files (better on the raw level) to eliminate moire and aliasing, but seem no one interested in it
For fast training sample creation it is need to mimic/emulate the line skipping algo thats in the camera, and train with that pairs of raw data to reconstruct original (or create some new) information like Topaz Gigapixel do

And this is without 3x desqueezing:

I want to ask - is this normal in 3x1 mode? (50d) Looks like terrible artifacts...
It's "Zoom 100%" view in latest MlvApp with 3x vertical desqueezing...

This cannot get the original details back.  The information has been lost.

"AI" reconstruction of images hallucinates details that are statistically likely to match the remaining image.  This can improve appearance, and that might be all someone wants.  It doesn't really get details back, so it depends what you mean.

Yes, you are right, there is no "true" details, but who cares, if image looks better after all =)
I think similar ai technique can beat that horrible looking aliasing artifacts in most cases, adding some fake delais is much less evil than original aliased image with no processing at all...

Not possible.
It is possible with some clever development, you need to implement neural network to reconstruct line-skipped images, same way is used in Topaz Gigapixel AI, but you need to train network with original image and line-skipped pairs.
We need neural networks specialist and community help to generate image pairs to implement this idea.

Great app, my deep respect to the developer!
But i have some requests to make this app a bit more functional:
1. Please make "Sharpness" slider effect at least twice stronger - i shoot raw with noticeable defocus to avoid aliasing, and current maximum sharpness is not enought to restore image details.
2. Multi-threaded export of clips (every clip on dedicated processor core)
3. In MLV Producer there is cool effect called "analog contrast" that emulates film contrast, adjustments with this effect looking very cool and pleasing! But sadly that app don't have that AMAZING AMAZE debayer algo, so for me it useless(( The only thing that lacks MLV App is that great analog film contrast...

Oh! And just forgotten - i have a bug -  buttons stop working after some time using app (My system is Win7 x64)

I use ACR (opens with PS), or some folks use ufraw. It's in the beginning of the thread.

What version of ACR & PS do you use?
Can you try to open this file with your ACR, please?...

Just installed latest lightroom 5.2 RC, but it's all the same crap.
WTF? How you people open silent dng's?

My 2 workflows:
First (Slow)
1. Convert from raw to 16-bit dng with raw2cdng (16 bits give me best results in terms of color reproduction and and "filmic look")
2. Import dng's into After Effects with ACR plugin, some tweaking
3. Apply log lut ( PHOTOGS LOG LUT http://www.megafileupload.com/en/file/431990/index.php ) as starting point for filmic look and further color correction (Not really needed, but i like flat log "filmic" look, you can make this in ACR, but using lut for that is faster).
4. Export video with HuffYUV codec (losless) (i use huffyuv from ffdshow) or any codec like x264 if you want final compressed file.

Second (Fastest)
1. Convert from raw to 16-bit dng with raw2cdng
2. Import dng's into Photoshop with ACR plugin, some tweaking, synchronize and export as 100% jpegs (i use jpeg to save some space, but you can save stills in some losless format)
3. Import jpegs to VirtualDub, set the framerate, and resize (if needed) from 1728x972 (60d footage) to 1920x1080 (it's 111.111% upsizing), for upsize i use Lancoz3 mode, it's little sharper than precise biqubic (a=-1.00). I usually don't resize, if i want just to look at resulting video clip.
4. Export video with HuffYUV codec (losless) (i use huffyuv from ffdshow) or any codec like x264 if you want final compressed file.

Second method about 2-3 times faster if you don't need heavy color correction or effects in AE.
In first time i used Lightroom for second method, but with using just ACR plugin in Photoshop i have much faster workflow.

I have only one question - how to convert Silent Picture DNG to normal DNG to open it in ACR? My silent pics dng won't opens nor AE with ACR plugin, nor Photoshop's ACR nor with Lightroom... ( Camera is 60d). I shoot some timelapses, but just can't open dng raws...

Why COMODO Firewall threats raw2dng.exe from BATCHelor 2.3 archive as malware???

What is best way to convert silent pic dng's to use in Lightroom or AE ACR plugin?
I have Lightrom 3.4 and After Effects 5.5 with ACR plugin, but both programs can't open RAW DNG. I tryed to use latest abobe dng converter v8.1.043, but no success(((
DNG silent pics from 60d camera.

Raw Video / Re: Video in 3.5k raw

I manage to film contnuously in 12fps.
Wow that's cool! Looking forward for 24 pfs footage interpolated with twixtor...
I curious about twixtor's capability to do quality interpolation with relativily fast moving objects (like walking people, or moving cars) without visible artifacts; or this technique usable only in scenes with subtle motion like leaves on wind, etc...?

I don't have Mark3, can someone test max continuous framerate in 3.5k resolution? Just curious about max fps it can shoot for use in timelapses. Timelapses with ~3-5 fps sometimes very useful...
Does ML have option to record more than 3.5k?

I have same issue with splitted raw's, as described by ted ramasola. I use canon 60D.

Raw Video / Re: 60D RAW video - it's working !!!

How can i lock stutter time? It's really annoying when changing fps for raw timelapse or changing zoom mode - shutter always resets and image become overexposed. (in zoom mode - exposure due shutter resets and image get underexposed). If i set for example 0.5 fps it is unreal to get right shutter time because it is too slow to react on control wheel...
