hey yah!

when i download it, and unzip. i get the cr2hdr app.

I moved that app to applications folder.

Here are my workflow and error messages:

take test file of dual iso RAW shot on canon 650d, unpackage raw to dng using raw2dng executable.

change file names of .dng to end with .CR2.

open cr2hdr add files. Error:

Input file : 1.CR2
sh: exiftool: command not found sh: dcraw: command not found sh: dcraw: command not found Error: dcraw output is not a valid PGM file Logfile    : 1.txt

___

i then opened terminal and installed dcraw using macports "sudo apt-get install dcraw"

macports installed it, i can find dcraw and its components in HD/opt/local/bin/dcraw

so im not exactly sure what im doing wrong.

Thank you for your help! would LOVE to shoot some dual iso.

does cr2hdr work on 650d RAW files?

i converted the 650d dual iso RAW file to DNG using raw2dng and then changed file names to .CR2 and then tried opening with the cr2hdr for mac, but got this error:

Input file : 000000.CR2
sh: exiftool: command not found sh: dcraw: command not found sh: dcraw: command not found Error: dcraw output is not a valid PGM file Logfile    : 000000.txt

Raw Video / Re: RAW on 650D / 700D?

You guys see this announcement?
http://www.engadget.com/2013/07/16/toshiba-exceria-pro-sd-cards/
Will these cards allow us to record higher resolutions of RAW on our t4i's??

figured it out, i was downloading the executables with CHROME on my Mac and for some reason CHROME messes up files downloaded that have to install.

does anyone know why this would be? Even messes up DMGs when they are downloaded to 100%.

Ive made this vid with 650D with Satrianis Build from 04.07.2013.
It was only a bit of testing the RAW funcionality.

did you use the pinkdotremover? this looks GREAT. what was your workflow?

The name of the image files created by the dot remover that with an underscore "_". Is it possible that an underscore indicates a hidden file on your system or in your file manager? Or does you file manager show "aaa.dng" and "_aaa.dng" only as one line, because it assumes that the underscore file is something like a backup file?

I realized that I was missing the underscore. All the files without the underscore are the originals. It doesn't completely overwrite the old files. THANK YOU so much for the tool. It is ABSOLUTELY amazing.

I wish I knew C better so I could help!!

hey guys. not a programmer but a filmmaker here with limited coding knowledge.

I'm shooting RAW 1280x720 with my t4i.

When i get files larger than 2GB I can't get them to open in Raw2DNG. this forum says thats Captain Hook fixed this issue but I can't seem to get it to work, even when I download the latest build of Raw2dng (0.13).

Thanks for your help guys!

having trouble with raw2dng.

have files larger than 2gb. Using raw2dng on iMac.

is there anyway to get the RAW files larger than 2gb to convert to dng?

thanks for your help sorry if this is a repost or redundant. I just searched through the forums for a few hours and couldn't find a fix.

thank you so much for this tool!!

here is a test video i did as well as my process for getting the final image: https://vimeo.com/69773294

process:
shot RAW footage on my t4i w/ Magic Lantern.

settings 1280x720 at 23.976 - 23.978 (by default) on a 32GB SanDisk EXTREME PRO 95MB/s SD/HC class 10.

used raw2dng on my iMac to convert RAW to dng
used the pinkdotremover tool from the ML forum to remove pink dots
opened pinkdotremoved DNG's in PS
graded
exported images from PS as TIFF
opened TIFF sequence in Compressor
Exported Apple Pro Res file making sure frame rate was 23.976.

NOTES: Let's use a DNG folder with 5 frames in it as an example. When using pinkdotremover the DNG's come back as single files (if you have 5 files it will look like 5 files) but when you select the 5 files it will show that there are 10 files selected. When you open the pinkdotremover processed DNG's in PS it will have a sequence of 5 images with the pink dots removed followed by another 5 image sequence that still has the pink dots. Before exporting to TIFF delete these files from the sequence, or before exporting in Compressor make sure the TIFF files that still have the pink dots are deleted.

installed yesterday. Used the magiclantern-v2.3.NEXT.2013Feb02.650D.BOOTFIX.zip to "update" my firmware.

Said make sure Boot Flag is active. then a smiley.

I put safe dumpr on my card, as well as the latest build from last night. then i actived the bootflag using the mac version of the app that makes them bootable, (I run mountain lion on my computer so i had to put a special script in the folder that  had the app to make the card bootable).

I ran magic lantern and it works pretty sweet.

I tried to shoot raw and it worked when i put it on a lower setting like 1280 by 720 but the problem ive ran into is there is artifacting in the middle of the frame that looks kinda like the bumpy parts of metal like this image: http://images03.olx.in/ui/4/33/94/63002994_1-Pictures-of-Industrial-metal-sheets-and-Embossed-Metal-Sheets-Chennai.jpg

but the artifacts are colored like fushia.

I tried a bunch of different settings and still got the artifacts, is this a problem with my sensor? or with the encoding process? You can't see the artifacts when you play it back through ML on the camera, only after transcoding using MagicRaw..

I used MagicRaw with the 650d setting to transcode from Raw to DNG.

Thank you for all your hardwork!! So stoked to have ML on my t4i!!
